Commonly asked questions
Self-Study: Many students prefer self-study with online preparation rather than coaching centres. When doing a self-study, candidates must have a clear understanding of the GATE syllabus, GATE exam pattern and also how many questions they are required to attempt for the desired score.
Candidates can use some of the strategies such as what type of questions to attempt first, limit required for each question, etc. prove to be really helpful during the paper. Their strategies must be flexible as per the GATE question paper, as the exam can be full of surprises. Well, there is no sectional time limit so they must get an idea regarding which sequence of questions to be attempted first and how much time to devote to a particular section.
Attempt GATE mock tests every day to analyse your progress for desired results. Mark your strengths and weaknesses according to topics and work on them to avoid any panic situation in the exam. When a candidate is doing self-study then time management is one of the most crucial factors to be managed. As this will result in better speed and accuracy.
If you are not attending any coaching classes and there is no one to tell you about the perfect plan to study, you should not rely on too many resources.
