KEAM Dress Code 2026: The KEAM exam is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala. The exam will be conducted in a single shift. Candidates appearing for the exam can check the KEAM dress code for male and female candidates on this page. The conducting authority has not specified a dress code for the exam; however, candidates should avoid flashy attire and jewellery. Read below to check what to wear and avoid on the KEAM Exam day.

KEAM 2026 Exam Dress Code for Male and Female Candidates: Candidates appearing for KEAM 2026 must check the exam day guidelines and dress code details. The authorities will issue strict guidelines and instructions on when to report to the centre for the exam. Candidates must check the exam day guidelines given on the KEAM admit card. Students appearing for the KEAM 2026 must follow all the instructions mentioned by the authorities on the admit card. The Kerala state-level entrance exam - KEAM will be conducted from April 13 to 25, 2026, with April 13, 16, 24 and 25 being buffer days.

KEAM Exam Dress Code

The officials of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, have not released any official guidelines regarding the KEAM 2026 exam dress code. However, at the KEAM exam centre, there will be strict checking. Therefore, candidates are advised to wear light and comfortable clothes to have a hassle-free entry to the exam hall. Also, candidates must carry the KEAM admit card to the exam centre without fail. KEAM 2026 Exam Dress Code for Male and Female Candidates 

Candidates must follow this dress code on the day of the exam.

Male Candidates
  • Wear light-colored shirts or T-shirts
  • Half-sleeve clothes preferred (full sleeves may require rolling up)
  • Simple trousers or pants
  • Avoid jeans with heavy pockets or designs
  • No caps, hats, or scarves
  • Footwear: simple sandals or slippers (shoes are usually not allowed)

Female Candidates

  • Wear light-colored, simple dresses
  • Half-sleeve tops or kurtis are preferred
  • Avoid embroidered or heavy outfits
  • No dupatta/shawl (unless required for religious reasons)
  • Leggings, salwar, or simple pants are allowed
  • Footwear: sandals or slippers only

What Not to Carry to the KEAM Exam Centre?

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items to the exam centre.

  • Electronic gadgets (mobile phones, smartwatches, earphones)
  • Metallic items (jewellery, belts with large buckles)
  • Bags, wallets, or purses
  • Hair accessories with metal
