Banaras Hindu University BTech is offered in different specialisations. It is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BHU BTech admission is done as per CUET exam scores. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can go to the CUET website to apply.

The exam fee for LPUNEST is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females.

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. For applying for BTech at SHUATS Allahabad one must have completed 12th from CBSE or UP board with atleat 50% marks for general category and 45% for reserved category.

After satisfying this criteria, students have to qualify the SHIATS entrance exam. Which completely merit based.

For few courses like agricultural, food technology and dairy specialisation BTech, there is another entrance called SOET (SHUATS online entrance exam)
