The JKBOPEE BSc Nursing CET 2026 admission process for the academic year 2026-27 will begin in March 2026, as per the recent notification released by JKBOPEE. The application process is expected to begin in March, and the exam will be held in April 2026 in offline mode. The official exam dates have not been released yet. The official notification will be shared on the official website, jkbopee.gov.in. It will be held at the selected locations of J&K. The state-level nursing entrance exam is conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination annually.

Q:   When will JKBOPEE nursing exam be conducted?

The JKBOPEE BSc nursing exam was held on April 27, 2025. It is an offline exam (pen and paper based exam). The BSc nursing entrance exam was held in morning shift from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Q:   Can I appear for the JKBOPEE BSc nursing exam twice?
A: 

No. In a single academic session, a candidate can appear for the exam once only. The exam conducting body, JKBOPEE conducts exam once annually for the BSc nursing aspirants. However, if the candidate is unable to seek admission in the current academic session, then he/she can appear for the exam in the upcoming academic session. There is no restriction on the number of times a candidate can appear for the exam in each academic session until the age of 35 years.

Q:   Who conduct the JKBOPEE nursing entrance exam?
A: 

The JKBOPEE nursing entrance exam is conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. It is a state-level entrance that is conducted for granting admission to the aspirants who are a domicile of Jammu. Candidates will be able to appear once for this exam within a particular academic year. 

Q:   If I belong to Karnataka, can I appear for the JKBOPEE nursing exam?
A: 

Candidates belonging to the Karnataka domicile are advised NOT to appear for the JKBOPEE nursing entrance exam. It does not have a state quota in government colleges for the outside state aspirants.

JKBOPEE Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026

The JKBOPEE Nursing eligibility criteria is important for applicants to read and understand. It is only after a candidate fulfills the eligibility criteria that his/her admission will be approved or rejected. Find out some key points here:

  1. The candidate must be a domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh
  2. The applicant must be at least 17 years old on 31st December 2026 and not more than 35 years
  3. The aspirant must have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) for Open Merit category and 40% for reserved categories
  4. To apply for the entrance exam, passing ‘English’ is a compulsory subject in 10+2
  5. The candidate must be declared medically fit

No, English is a mandatory subject and is mentioned in the eligibility criteria to appear for the JKBOPEE BSc Nursing CET entrance. The applicant must opt for this subject in HSC, if they wish to appear for the exam.

The JKBOPEE Nursing registration process will commence tentatively from the second week of March 2026. The JKBOPEE BSc nursing 2026 application forms will be available till April 2026 first week. The JKBOPEE application process 2026 will be organized and managed online at the official website, jkbopee.gov.in. An application fee of INR 1000/- will be mandatory to be paid to complete the application process.

The JKBOPEE nursing exam will carry 180 questions from three sections called Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It is an offline exam that must be solved in three hours. It will be provided only in English medium. As per the marking scheme applicable, a negative marking of -0.25 mark will be done per question for choosing an incorrect option. Q:   What is the JKBOPEE BSc nursing exam pattern 2025?
A: 

The BOPEE BSc nursing exam will be conducted in offline mode. The question paper will carry 180 objective-type questions of 1 mark each. There will be three sections in the exam, namely Physics (60), Chemistry (60), Biology (60). Each section will be of 60 marks. Candidates will be provided 180 minutes (i.e. 3 hours) to attempt the question paper solutions. This means 1 minute per question will be allotted to the aspirants.

Q:   What is the JKBOPEE BSc nursing exam marking scheme?
A: 

The BOPEE BSc nursing exam carries 180 questions of 1 mark each. These 180 questions will be divided in three parts, i.e. 60 questions each in three sections. The exam will be OMR based, therefore candidates are advised to fill the choices carefully.

There is also a negative marking scheme which would lead to deduction in marks in case the candidate chose incorrect option. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark per question for each incorrect response chosen at the time of answering.

Q:   How much time will a candidate get to solve JKBOPEE question paper?
A: 

In the JKBOPEE exam, a candidate will get three hours to solve the question paper. As there is a negative marking scheme, be careful while attempting the paper. It is an offline exam.

Tie-breaking Criteria for JKBOPEE Nursing Exam

  1. Marks obtained in Biology will be evaluated.
  2. Marks obtained in the Chemistry component will be evaluated, if the marks obtained in Biology are equal.
  3. Marks obtained in Physics will be evaluated if marks obtained in Biology and Chemistry are equal;
  4. Candidate older in age will be given preference if marks obtained in Biology, Chemistry and Physics are same.
  5. In case of further tie, the First alphabet of candidate’s name shall be given preference.
