RPF SI 2025: Preference Form Out, Final Result, Merit List, Cut Off, Vacancies & Exam Date

The RPF SI result 2025 has been released for the CBT on March 3, 2025. The RRBs declared the RPF SI results on their official regional websites. The result has been released as a PDF download file containing the merit list of candidates shortlisted for the Physical Efficiently Test (PET) / Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The RPF SI final result will be announced after the conduct of the PET/ PMT followed by the DV.  

The RPF SI result 2025 was released by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) on March 3, 2025, after the completion of the assessment process. The RRB RPF SI result is announced based on the final answer key along with the cut off marks and merit list of candidates. Candidates can check their RPF SI results by logging to their registered accounts using the required details.

For correct answers, candidates score one mark. 1/3 marks are deducted for wrong answers. The formula to calculate the scores is given below:

Total score= (Number of Right answers) x 1 – (Number of incorrect answers) x 1/3

The RRB RPF SI final cut off marks are as follows:

RPF SI cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to score to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. Candidates need to secure RPF SI cut off in CBT to qualify for PET and PMT. The final cut off is prepared based on CBT. The minimum pass percentage for the RPF SI CBT exam is:

• 35% for UR, EWS and OBC-NCL categories
• 30% for SC & ST categories

RPF SI qualifying marks for SC and ST candidates are different from General category. The qualifying marks of RPF SI Is given below.

The application fee for RPF SI is INR 500 for unreserved categories while it is INR 250 for reserved categories. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online. The application fees can be paid online and offline. The application fees is refunded to candidates after they appear for the exam. Interested candidates are required to fill the application form online only. The hard copy of the application form is not required to be send by candidates. The application fee can be paid both online and offline.

RPF SI vacancies were announced along with the notification. A total of 452 vacancies have been announced for RPF SI exam. The selection of candidates against the vacancies will be done based on Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) and Document Verification & Medical Test. Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam to get recruited as Sub-Inspector (SI) in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).

The RPF SI 2025 exam date will be announced soon. The RRB RPF SI CBE (computer based exam) is divided into three sections-Basic Arithmetics (35 questions, 35 marks), General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 questions, 35 marks), and General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks). Candidates are allotted 1 hour and 30 minutes (90 minutes) to complete the entire exam. For correct answers, candidates score one mark. The RPF Sub Inspector exam date 2025 was announced by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The RPF SI 2025 exam was held on December 2, 3, 9, 12 and 13, 2024. The RPS SI exam was conducted online as the computer based test (CBT). The RPF SI recruitment exam comprises questions from Basic Arithmetics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness.

The short RPF SI notification 2024 was released on March 2, 2024. The detailed notification was released on April 14, 2024. The notification for SI was released to fill up a total of 452 vacancies. RPF SI notification was released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam such as important dates, selection process, vacancies, eligibility and many more. The selection of RPF SI comprises CBT, PET/PMT and document verification. The CBT will be conducted by RRB. The PET/PMT and document verification is conducted by the Railway Protection Force.

RPF SI application form was released on April 15, 2024. The application form needs to be filled online only. The application fees are INR 500 for the Unreserved category, whereas, the other categories SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female will have to pay INR 250. The application amount is refunded by the MoR when the candidate appears for the RPF CBT exam (INR 400 is refunded for UR and INR 250 is refunded for the other categories excluding the banking charges). 

The process to calculate the score using the answer key is given below.

• In the answer key, the correct answers are shown in green colour
• If the answer is correct then the blue and green colour line can be seen on the same option
• Candidates need to count the number of correct and incorrect answers
• Multiply the number of right answers by one and incorrect answers by 1/3
• Deduct the total sum of the incorrect answers from the correct ones that will give candidates their probable score

• In the answer key login, candidates need to enter user ID and password

Candidates can raise an objection if any against the answer key. The objection can be filed online on the official website of RPF SI. To submit the challenges, candidates need to pay INR 50 for each objection. Here is how candidates can raise an objection against the answer key:

• Go to the official website
• Select the 'view answersheet' option
• Choose the group 
• Fill the roll number, date of birth, date of exam, batch and captcha code in the login window
• When the objection window is generated, enter question number, category, objection related to the question
• Click on the 'make payment' button
• Click 'yes' if you are ready for payment'
• The process will be complete only after fee payment

The RPF SI vacancy under the CEN RPF 01/2024 was announced on March 2, 2024 through the release of a short notice. The application forms against the RPF SI vacancies were released on April 15, 2024. RPF SI exam pattern is such that it comprises CBT 1, PET/PMT, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The CBT comprises three sections. The standard of questions is of graduation-level. According to the 6th Pay Commission recommendations, the grade pay assigned to RPF SI was INR 4200. With this grade pay, the salary was calculated in the pay band of INR 9300-34800. However, after the implementation of 7th Pay Commission, the grade pay system was discontinued. Now, the RPF SI starts at the basic pay level of INR 35400 (Level-6) as per 7th CPC pay matrix.

The gross salary of an RPF Sub Inspector ranges from INR 43,000 to 52,000 depending upon their place of posting. This inclusive salary amount comprises basic pay, grade pay, DA, HRA and other applicable allowances. As basic pay is INR 35,400 according to 7th CPC pay matrix, the other allowances add up substantially to the CTC.
