RPF SI Exam Pattern 2025

The RPF SI exam pattern 2025 for CBT is such that it is divided into three sections Awareness, Arithmetic and General Intelligence & reasoning. Besides Hindi and English, the CBT is conducted in regional languages. The exam pattern carries a total of 120 questions of 200 marks. The duration of the test is 90 minutes. Candidates qualifying for the CBT are called for PET/PST. It is mandatory to clear the PET and it is qualifying in nature.

RPF SI Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfill the RPF SI eligibility criteria as shared below-

A candidate must be a citizen of India.
Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam.
The age of candidates should be between 20 to 28 years.

RPF SI Selection Process

Filling the RPF SI Application Form

RPF SI application forms are required to be submitted online only through the official website. Candidates candidate need to submit only one application form. RPF SI application form is required to be filled in English only. The application fee is INR 500 for Unreserved categories while it is INR 250 for Reserved categories.

Release of RPF SI Admit Card

RPF SI admit card is made available online separately for CBT, PET & PMT and Document Verification. Candidates need to download their admit cards by logging into the required credentials.

Appearing in RPF SI CBT

The CBT will be held for 90 minutes and comprises 120 objective-type questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks allotted to the test are 120.

Declaration of RPF SI Result

RFI SI result is released online separately for different groups, A, B, C, D, E, & F. The result PDF is released in the form of a merit list. RPF SI result displays the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the merit in CBT, candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are called for PET and PMT.

Appearing in PET, PMT & Document Verification

It is mandatory to pass the PET and it is qualifying in nature. Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT, PET & PMT, they are called for Document Verification.

Final Selection

The appointment to the post of RPF SI is subject to passing the requisite medical fitness test, final verification of educational and category certificates, verification of character and antecedents of candidates, and successful completion of initial training.

RPF SI Exam Centres

The examination authority releases the list of RPF SI test cities along with the notification. RFP SI exam centres are distributed division-wise under certain groups-A, B, C, D, E, F. Candidates applying to the railway zones under these groups, will be allotted exam centres coming under that particular region.

RPF SI Salary 2025

Selected candidates are appointed at level 6 of the 7th CPC with an initial pay of INR 35,400 in terms of the RPF SI pay scale. Besides, candidates are also entitled to various allowances as per the government rules. The RPF SI salary for the per month is between INR 43,300 to 52,030 as per the 7th pay commission.

The RPF SI admit card 2025 of the Physical Test- PET/ PMT/ DV has been released on the official websites of the RRBs. To download the RPF SI physical admit card, candidates needed to enter their registration number and password. RPF SI PET admit card carries details such as the candidate's name, roll number, date of birth, exam centre details, exam date and many more. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates needed to follow the steps given below to download the RPF SI admit card 2025:

RPF SI Exam Day Guidelines 2025

The exam day guidelines for the RPF SI exam are given below:

Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, pen drives, laptops, calculators, wrist-watches or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the RPF SI exam centre
Candidates are not allowed to carry pens/pencils inside the exam centre
Candidates need to carry an RPF SI admit card to the exam centre. Without the admit card, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam
Carry one photo-identity proof (both original and photocopy) along with the admit card
Candidates should reach the exam centre early to complete the verification process
No candidates are allowed to enter the exam hall once the exam begins
Candidates must bring one colour photograph along with the admit card
