State Bank of India will conduct SBI PO 2026 exam to select candidates for the posts of Probationary Officers in the bank. Selection for SBI PO is done based on merit. Those selected can be posted anywhere in the country.

The examination authority decides category-wise SBI PO cut off marks to select candidates for the next rounds of selection process. There is no sectional cut off marks. Candifdates need to secure only the overall cut off.
SBI PO final merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains exam and Group Exercises. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The weightage given to the various phases of the exam at the time of preparing the final merit list is as follows:

SBI PO eligibility is fixed by the examination authority. Graduation is required to apply for the exam. Candidates cannot appear after completing Class 12. The age for the exam is 21 and 30 years.
The age limit for applying to SBI PO was between 21 and 30 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved category.The educational qualification prescribed for SBI PO is Graduation. Final year Graduation candidates can apply provisionally provided they need to submit the pass Certificate of degree exam at the time of interview. Candidates holding Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) can also apply. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant can also apply.There are also restrictions in the number of attempts. The number of attempts for General category is 4, General (PwD) category is 7, OBC is 7, OBC (PwD) is 7. There is no restriction for SC/ST (PwD). Candidates with a record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues / or against whose name adverse reports of CIBIL or other external agencies are available are not eligible for appointment.

SBI PO 2026 Application Form

SBI PO 2026 Exam Pattern
Before beginning with the preparation, candidates must check the pattern. It tells the overall structure of the exam. The exam is divided into several stages. The prelims exam carries three section. Total marks allotted to the test are 100. The mains exam carries both objective and descriptive tests. This stage carries 250 marks. The Psychometric test is qualifying in nature. SBI PO 2026 Admit Card
The call letter is released online separately for different stages of selection process. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. They need to carry the printed copies of their admit cards along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. The hard copy of the SBI PO hall ticket is not sent to candidates by post.
SBI PO 2026 Result
The result is announced online by SBI. Prelims result can be accessed through login by entering the required credentials. SBI PO mains and final results are made available in PDF form. SBI PO result can be downloaded by logging with the required credentials. SBI PO scorecard is made available few days after the declaration of the result.
SBI PO 2026 Cut off
SBI PO 2026 cut off will be released along with the scorecard. The cut off is released state-wise for different categories. There is no sectional SBI PO cut off. Candidates need to secure the desired cut off to qualify the exam.

SBI PO Salary
SBI PO in hand salary ranges between INR 52,000 to 55,000 per month. SBI PO basic salary is INR 41,960. The Gross compensation given to candidates is between INR 8.20 to 13.08 lakhs (maximum) per annum. They are also given various allowances.

Yes. There is negative marking in the SBI PO exam in both Prelims and Mains for the objective-type questions. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks or 1/4th marks are deducted but for un attempted or skipped questions none of the marks are deducted.
