NLU Delhi has also released a slew of other guidelines for candidates to take the exam, including the right way to mark the OMR Answer Sheet, proper conduct during the exam, etc. that candidates need to follow. Candidates should know and adhere to the AILET 2026 exam day guidelines & instructions, including how to mark the OMR answer sheet, where to do rough work, etc. as stipulated by NLU Delhi. Read here.

NLU Delhi conducts the AILET Exam in pen-and-paper mode. On the exam day, candidates must reach the AILET Test Centre at least one hour before the actual reporting time. As per the guidelines issued by NLU Dehi, no candidates will be allowed entry after 15 minutes of the commencement of the exam. How to Attempt the AILET 2026 Question Paper

NLU Delhi has ascertained some specific guidelines to attempt AILET 2026 question papers. These guidelines are mentioned below:

  • The candidate must use only BLACK/ BLUE BALL POINT PEN to write the roll number, fill in details in the OMR Response Sheet & Answer Booklet, and for shading the circles
  • Details like the signature, Roll number, and Question Booklet number must be filled in the space provided on the OMR Response Sheet and Answer Booklet. 
  • The OMR Response Sheet is carbonized.
  • Candidates are allowed to keep the second page (Carbon copy) of the OMR Response Sheet and Question Booklet for reference.
  • The first page of the OMR Response Sheet (Original) and the Answer Booklet has to be submitted to the invigilator at the end of the exam.
  • The OMR Response Sheet should be not be folded, wrinkled, torn, or stapled under any circumstances. Further, candidates are urged not to scribble or mark the sheet in any way. Any violation of these rules may lead to disqualification.
  • Candidates will not be provided with a second blank OMR Response Sheet, except in exceptional cases. 
  • In case a second OMT Response sheet is given to the candidate, the entire Sealed Plastic Envelope containing the Question Booklet, Answer Booklet, and OMR Response Sheet will be replaced.
  • The candidate is not allowed to seek clarification from anybody while the test is going on.
  • At 12.30 pm, the candidate has to stop writing and return the OMR Response Sheet and Answer Booklet to the invigilator. Candidates carrying the Answer Booklet and OMR Response sheet out of the test center may be disqualified. In such cases, action may also be taken in accordance with law.
  • The candidate is not allowed to leave the exam hall without submitting the OMR Response Sheet and Answer Booklets.
  • Adopting unfair means like cheating or giving assistance will lead to disqualification. 
  • Unmarked questions will not be evaluated. Further, putting identification marks or any other symbols or words may lead to disqualification.
  • Rough work has to be done in the space provided at the end of the Question Booklet. No rough work is allowed on the OMR Answer Sheet and Answer Booklet. Also, no additional sheets will be provided for rough work.

Q:   Will Section A and Section B in the question paper of AILET LLM, be provided together?
A:

Candidates must note that the AILET LLM 2026 Exam pattern was changed last year. The main subjects of AILET LLM 2026 question paper will be as under: Different branches of law (Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour & Industrial Law).

The syllabus of AILET 2026 LLM will have 100 MCQ questions pertaining to different areas of law. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect attempt. 

Q:   How solving AILET 2026 Sample paper is beneficial for candidates?
A:

Solving the AILET sample papers will help students to improve their speed of solving the questions. It will also help them to be familiar with the type of questions asked for the AILET exam.  

Q:   Which type of GK questions were asked in the previous year's AILET question paper?
A:

In the last year's AILET question paper for UG course, GK questions were prominently related to static GK. The number of current affairs-related questions was lower. Questions were mainly related to law field and Economics. These questions were related to topics, such as Supreme Court of India, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). 
A large number of questions in the section were based on topics related to international relations, such as international alliances, agreements and G20 Summit. 

Other main topics covered in the GK section of the previous year's AILET question paper were awards, sports, geography of India and books and authors.

Q:   When will NLU release the AILET 2026 question paper?
A:

NLU Delhi will release the AILET 2026 question paper after the exam. AILET question paper will release with the answer key.
