TSLAWCET vs APLAWCET: Key Differences

The TS LAWCET 2026 exam was held on May 18, 2026. Candidates can find the exam timing for TS LAWCET 2026 on their admit card. Every year, the TS LAWCET exam is conducted in multiple sessions. Thus, TS LAWCET 2026 will also be conducted in sessions on the exam date decided by the Telangana State Higher Education Council (TGCHE). 

Generally, the conducting body receives 28000 to 30000 registrations every year for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET Exam. The competition is to secure seats in 30 participating colleges. Some of the top government law colleges are: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University  (Visakhapatnam) and Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Tirupati).

After the TS LAWCET seat allotment list is released, candidates whose names appear in the seat allotment list will have to report to the assigned college for verification of original certificate and tution fee receipt. Candidates will have to confirm their seat if they are satisfied with the seat allotment.  

Andhra Pradesh LAWCET official website is cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/APSCHEHome.aspx. This web address can be used to access the online portal for Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for all courses that the APSCHE exam offers for admission to UG and PG courses. Candidates can check specific details related to APLAWCET, which is also Andhra Pradesh LAWCET, by visiting the LAWCET portal available on the homepage of APSCHE's website. The web address for the law portal of APSCHE is cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET. Candidates can check all the important details related to Andhra Pradesh LAWCET, including the dates of the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET notification and application form release, the date of the entrance examination, and the dates for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET admit card and result release and counselling process.

The TS LAWCET correction window has closed. Candidates need to know that they cannot correct all the details they filled out in the application form. Only specific details can be corrected. These details are the following:

• Name of the Candidate, Father's Name, Date of Birth (as per SSC or Equivalent)
• Intermediate/Class 12th Hall Ticket Number
• Signature
• Photograph
• Qualifying Hall Ticket Number (Diploma/Degree)

There are 21 regional centres in which TS LAWCET are conducted. These regional centres are mentioned below: 

AP LAWCET 2026 exam will be conducted in English and Telugu medium.  There will be objective-type questions, that is, each question will carry four options. Candidates will have to select the one correct answer. 

AP LAWCET, or Andhra Pradesh State Law Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses offered by law colleges affiliated law colleges of Andhra University. The exam is conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)

The AP LAWCET examines a candidate's aptitude and knowledge related to law. For admission to LLM courses, AP PGLCET is conducted. The registration process for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET starts on the same date on the official APSCHE LAWCET website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET.
