Here are a few suggestions to prepare for TANCET 2020, which will help you in scoring good marks and getting admission into prestigious institutions of your choice.
Professional degrees and certifications today are given more weightage over traditional degree or courses. Pursuing professional course such as Engineering, MBA, etc., from good institutions does not only hone your professional and personal skills but also ensure a good career ahead. Gone are the days when eligibility was the major or only concern. Now along with eligibility an individual need to possess capability as well. Selection of good and prestigious institution and getting admission into it is a competitive task these days. These institutions develop your skills and makes you eligible and capable as per the requirement of profession. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is one such exam which directs you towards the prestigious institutions offering various professional courses such as MBA and MCA. TANCET 2020 will be held on February 29-March 1. The exam date is nearing and in this short period, it is essential to have appropriate strategy to cover all the important aspects of the exam.
Here are certain suggestions for one of the important section that is Quantitative Aptitude, which is one fourth part of the exam. Quantitative Aptitude is one such subject, which requires logical bent of mind and quick problem-solving techniques. This section covers basic mathematics topics of higher-secondary level and few topics from senior secondary level. Specifically if I talk about the quantitative aptitude for MBA entrance it covers Arithmetic (Percentage, Ratio and proportion, profit and loss, Speed-time and distance, Time and work, HCF and LCM, Simple and compound interest), Algebra (Fundamental equations, Indices, Progression, Quadratic equation, Logarithm, Binomial theorem, Surds, Determinants and Matrices), Geometry and Mensuration (Equation of line, Intersections, circle, Parabola, Cylinder, Cone, Ellipse, Hyperbola and scaling). For MCA some more parts have been added like Calculus (Function Limits, Continuous functions, Maxima and minima, Normal and tangents, Integration of functions by parts, Substitution and partial fractions, Defining integral applications to volumes), Differential Equation (Differential equations of first order with solutions and homogenous linear equations), Probability and Statistics (Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent event, Frequency distribution and measures of dispersions, skewness and kurtosis, random variable and distribution functions, mathematical expectations, Binomial, Poisson, normal distribution, curve fitting and the principle of least square, correlation and regression).

Here are a few suggestions to prepare for TANCET 2020, which will help you in scoring good marks and getting admission into prestigious institutions of your choice. For TANCET, have an appropriately structured study plan and selection of appropriate study material, mock test, time management and at the highest of all taking good care of your health will definitely lead you towards success.
Good practice of TANCET previous papers with proper time limits will surely help you in enhancing your accuracy. This is one of the techniques to assess and evaluate your current preparation. Try to make a list or record of all the formulas, revise the same for the purpose of long term retention. This will help you out to solve the questions with good efficiency.
It has been observed that candidates skip certain topics which are difficult for them or in which they are weak. They leave these topics on the matter of luck and chance. Quantitative being the most scoring sections should not be takes with casual approach. It is always suggested to practice hard specifically for subjects like quantitative aptitude and focus on accuracy so that you could score high. It is advisable to prepare notes for last minute preparation and to have a quick glance over all the topics you have covered during preparation.
Exams always come with certain conditions and so the TANCET comes. Aspirants are given a particular time span to complete all the sections of this exam. So each aspirant is supposed to attempt the exam not only with good speed but with effective accuracy as well. Negative marking of the exam may affect the composite score of the candidate so it is always suggested to consider the same while attempting the quantitative aptitude section. On priority I always suggest the aspirants to take good care of their health while preparing for any competitive exam.
