How to Edit the CAT 2026 Application Form
The official website used for application corrections is iimcat.ac.in. When the correction window opens, candidates will follow the standard login procedure established by the authority:
- Go to the official website: iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on the login link under "Registered Candidate Login".
- Enter the registered CAT User ID and Password.
- Access the submitted application form and click on the correction or edit tab.

CAT exam pattern saw a major change in 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic demanded a reduction in the exam duration. The exam sections remained the same, while the question count was reduced to 76 from 100, and the exam duration was reduced to 2 hours from 3 hours previously. In 2021, the question count was further reduced to 66. Without an intimation later, candidates found an additional 2 questions starting 2024. in 2024, and 2025, CAT exam has retained 68 questions to be answered within 120 minutes. The digital copy of the CAT admit card will not be accepted at the test centres as a valid document, thus you cannot show it, to gain entry. As per the official guidelines, only the colour print out of the admit card on A4 size sheet will be accepted as valid. Candidates must also affix a passport size photo, preferably the same as uploaded in the CAT application form.
The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance. One copy of the CAT admit card of every candidate is also retained by the authorities, thus the need for the print out.
