CAT Application Fees for IIMs
Unlike XAT or SNAP, there is no extra amount to be paid for IIM campus or courses. CAT 2026 aspirants can select as many IIMs and as many courses as they want to apply for, in the CAT application form 2026. Their PT shortlisting will be based on the IIM campuses they select. Candidates must keep in mind that, there is no option to apply for IIMs separately later on.
CAT Registration Fee 2026: Payment Modes
CAT registration fee can be paid in online mode only. There is no option to pay the fee in cash or through demand draft. At the time of CAT 2026 form submission, candidates can select any of the following options to pay the fee:

- CAT form correction window will allow edit option in test city, photo and signature, so if you make errors in the form you will have to fill the form again and pay the fee too.
- You can fill the CAT application form 2026 first and pay the fee later. However, it is mandatory to submit CAT fees before the last date of registration.
- Non-payment of CAT registration fee will result in non-submission of the form.
- After making the CAT fee payment, make sure the acknowledgement slip is generated, before you close the payment window.

- No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre after that.
- Don't cheat or indulge in mal practice. You can be disqualified due to any such ACT.
- Don't create a ruckus inside the test lab
- Don't leave your seat until the exam duration gets over and the invigilator announces exit.
Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a few copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Candidates who have diabetes can carry fruits as per medical prescription. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the CAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.
CAT exam conducted only once a year in the month of November. It is conducted in three shifts on a single day.
