Q:   Am I eligible for OJEE counselling based on my JEE Mains marks and rank? I have not appeared for Orissa JEE.
A: 
Yes, all the JEE Main rank holders are eligible to take part in the OJEE counselling process for admission to the engineering programmes offered by colleges accepting OJEE scores. Even if the candidates have not appeared for the OJEE exam, they can get admission to various colleges based on their JEE Main scores. Candidates who wish to participate in BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET (UG) with a valid rank. Candidates must get the scores verified at JEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar-751030 in person who are taking a part in the OJEE counselling through JEE Mains or other qualifying entrance exams. JEE rank holders will be eligible to participate in the counselling process irrespective of their admission status.
Q:   What should I do after the OJEE result?
A: 

After the OJEE result declaration, top colleges which accept the OJEE scores start the shortlisting process. The OJEE scores are accepted in over 40 B-schools in the state of Odisha. After the results, the OJEE Cell releases OJEE  merit list. OJEE participating institutes then release OJEE cutoffs category-wise and invite applicants to appear for the OJEE counselling process which includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for admissions. The OJEE admission process after the result declaration includes:

  1. Applications to be sent out to the institutes where you want to take admission.
  2. Participating in the counselling process which includes Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
  3. Submitting the required documents to the institutes where you have been shortlisted and part admission fee.
  4. Paying the complete course fee and getting an admission confirmation.
Q:   Can I get admission in an engineering college in Odisha through OJEE counselling based on JEE Mains rank?
A: 
The Odisha Cell will conduct the OJEE counselling for JEE Main rank holders and OJEE-qualified aspirants. The OJEE counselling dates will be available on the official website of Odisha JEE. Interested candidates will be required to complete the OJEE counselling registration process within the deadline. Based on JEE Mains rank you can always get any college in any state of your choice. However, giving the state joint entrance examination gives you a higher percentage of chances of seats in the colleges of your state. Candidates belonging to the state of Odisha will be eligible to take admission to the government colleges in the state, and non-native students are eligible to take admission to private colleges and institutes. The following government colleges of Odisha are accepting the JEE Mains scores. 1. International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar 2. Odisha University of Technology and Research 3. National Institute of Technology, Rourkela 4. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla 5. Parala Maharaj Engineering College, Berhampur 6. National Institute of Science and Technology, Brahmapur 7. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology 8. Government College of Engineering.
Q:   Which documents are required for OJEE counselling?
A: 

Candidates should report the counselling centre with original as well as copies of the following documents:

  1. OJEE Seat Allotment Letter
  2. Acknowledgement slip of admission fee
  3. Counselling registration slip
  4. OJEE rank card and result copy
  5. OJEE admit card
  6. OJEE application form
  7. Class 10, Class 12 or equivalent mark sheets
  8. Graduation degree mark sheet, provisional letter and character certificate
  9. Transfer Certificate
  10. Residence Certificate of Odisha (mandatory) from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar
  11. SC/ST Certificate by birth issued by the government of Odisha
  12. Income Certificate for TFW candidates for the financial year 2023-2024
  13. Green card issued by the Family Welfare Department, government. Of Odisha 
  14. Certificates/Documents in support of NRI
  15. Candidates under the EWS category have to produce an EWS Certificate from Tahsildar/ Additional Tahsildar
  16. All women candidates have to submit a Resident/Nativity Certificate from the concerned Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar in order to claim the women quota The document verification for the allotted candidates will happen at the Nodal Centre, OJEE Cell at Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar only.

OJEE 2026 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to meet the following criteria:

  • Candidate should have qualified OJEE exam
  • Candidate must be at least 17 years old
  • Candidates participatting BAMS/BHMS counselling must have qualified in NEET(UG) with a valid rank
  • Candidates' parents should be a native of Odisha state. Candidates have to present the Resident/Nativity certificate during document verification
  • For BTech candidates, they should have a 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in Class 12 for General category candidates. The minimum aggregate for SC/ST is 40%. Also, the candidates must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

OJEE MBA Counselling Registration Process 2026

Check the OJEE MBA counselling registration process 2026 in detail below:

  • Go to OJEE website 
  • Fill details such as OJEE application number, gender, date of birth, course, rank, marks, etc. 
  • Select entrance test taken
  • Pay INR 450 as the counselling fee

Now candidates have to fill their choices and lock options. 

  • Fill in choices for selected courses and specialisation from the list
  • Lock choices by freezing and waiting for seat allotment list. Candidates must note that once the choices have been locked, they cannot be changed. 
  • Counselling cell releases a seat allotment list for colleges available based on choice filled by candidates and a merit list/rank list
  • Students can save their seat allotment and visit the counselling centre 

Then comes the final stage of OJEE counselling, i.e. to confirm their seat at the allotted colleges, students should provide documents of eligibility required for the course

  • They have to upload verified documents 
  • Also, make part admission fee payment which is INR 10,000 for General category and INR 5,000 for SC/ST/PC categories
  • After this, candidates are issued a final seat allotment letter with college name, course and other relevant information

Once the documents are verified, and admission fee has been received, candidates will get a confirmation and they have to report to the allotted college and submit documents and remaining fee. Candidates have the option to withdraw after allotment, but if they do so, they will not be eligible for further rounds.

Q:   How to get subject-wise marks for the OJEE result?
A: 

OJEE scorecard only mentions the overall scores obtained by the candidates in the OJEE exam. However, those candidates who wish to know their sectional scores in the exam can follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Write an application to request OJEE Cell for sending your subject-wise marks in OJEE (paper-specific)

  • Along with the request application, candidates need to enclose a demand draft of any nationalised bank at Bhubaneswar for INR 400 drawn in favour of “OJEE-2023”

  • The application should reach OJEE Cell within ten days of the OJEE result announcement

Q:   What is the float option in OJEE Counselling?
A: 
Float option can be used in OJEE counselling by those who have accepted a seat but want a better programme or option. Such candidates will be considered for better preferences in next round of OJEE counselling process. 
Q:   Which information will be printed on the OJEE result cum scorecard?
A: 

The OJEE result will be declared online after the exam is conducted. The OJEE result cum scorecard is an important document for the OJEE counselling and admission process. The following details are mentioned on every candidate's OJEE scorecard:

  1. Name of the candidate
  2. Candidate's roll number
  3. Candidate's applicarion number
  4. OJEE exam date
  5. OJEE course that the candidate appeared for
  6. Overall marks obtained by the candidate
  7. Rank obtained by the candidate
  8. OJEE qualifying status

The merit lists for OJEE will be issued based on the ranks obtained by the candidates. OJEE merit list 2023 will be released separately for each course.

Q:   Can I appear for OJEE counselling process even if I have not taken OJEE exam?
A: 

OJEE counselling process is open to students who have appeared for OJEE, ATMA, CAT, JEE Main, NEET, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NIMCET, GATE or GPAT. These scores will be accepted for OJEE admissions.

OJEE Web Counselling 2026 Documents Required

Candidates should have following certificates:

  • OJEE 2026, JEE Main 2026, or NEET 2026 rank card or scorecard
  • Class 10 board certificate and mark sheet
  • Class 12 passing certificate and mark sheet
  • Residence certificate of Odisha from Revenue Officer not below rank of Tahsildar.
  • Category certificate by birth issued by Government of Odisha
  • Income certificate for TFW candidates for the financial year 2022-2026
  • Candidates under the EWS category have to produce an EWS certificate from Tahsildar/ Additional Tahsildar  
  • Full-time work experience certificate of a minimum of two years in a registered firm in the relevant field in which admission is sought for admission to MTech (Part-Time) courses. The candidate has to submit a No Objection Certificate from the present employer for admission to the course at the time of document verification.

The OJEE exam is primarily for Lateral Entry (joining directly in the 2nd year). However, a "Special OJEE" is sometimes conducted to fill vacant seats in private colleges after the main counseling is over.

OJEE answer key 2026 was released on May 16, 2026. The objection filing window was open along with the release.
