Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2020) is approaching and your preparation must be in full swing to crack the entrance exam with a high score. TANCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Anna University to pursue Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master in Technology (MTech) and Master in Computer Application (MCA) programmes offered by various colleges in and around Tamil Nadu. TANCET 2020 is scheduled for February 29. The exam will be conducted for two hours.

Last few days before the exam are crucial. Candidates often stress themselves thinking of how they will be able to tackle the exam. Here are some last-minute preparation tips that are listed below for the candidates those who are appearing for TANCET 2020.

  • The candidate should first know the exam pattern clearly.
  • It is important to know the sections available, test duration and allocation of marks in the exams.
  • In the last few days, you should only prepare the topics you have already studied and are thorough with. Revise whatever you have learnt and then keep on practise
  • Give a glance on the previous years’ TANCET question papers. If you feel something difficult then keep on practising and learn from the mistakes you have committed.
  • Instead of getting stressed put in your fullest effort in preparation which will give you a fruitful result.
  • Don’t keep on studying and preparing which will panic you before the exam.
  • Go through the formulae before you go for the exam and also be confident in whatever topics you have learnt.
  • Negative marking is applicable in the exam.
  • Mark the answers in which you are sure of or else leave the question unanswered.
  • Keep an eye on the clock and if you feel that you are a bit slow in answering the questions try increasing your speed.
  • Don’t waste your time in one single question. If you don’t arrive to the expected answer skip on to the next question and utilize your 2 hours properly.
  • Get your hall tickets print out ready before two days of the exam.
  • Check the venue and schedule your travel time at least 1 hour minutes before the exam starts.
  • Once you reach the venue check the seating arrangements and complete the verification process in advance to avoid last-minute
  • Carry your id proof along with TANCET hall ticket.
  • Listen carefully to the instructions given by the invigilator so that you don’t commit any mistake in filling the first page of the booklet.
  • Rough sheets will be provided and you have to shade the correct answers in the booklet.
  • Your answers should be shaded only in black or blue ballpoint pen in the booklet.
  • Electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.

The HICAS MBA Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the MBA programme via the TANCET entrance exam. For the General AI category, the qualifying percentile was 5211. Please note that the cutoff for the other categories will vary accordingly.
