To ward off, any possibility of impersonation, authorities will cross check the details in the admit card with the details mentioned on the ID proof. Any of the following ID proofs will be deemed valid on the TANCET exam day:

  • Driving License
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Voter ID
  • Aadhaar card

3. Carry Stationery to Exam Centre

Anna University will conduct TANCET 2024 exam in an offline mode. It is crucial for the aspirants to carry a blue or black pen along with the pencil, and eraser to the TANCET exam centre. Candidates should arrange all the stationery material a day before the exam. The invigilator will not allow the test takers to interact during the exam for stationery supplies. Therefore, candidates must reach the exam centre with their own supplies.

4. Reach TANCET Exam Centre Prior to the Notified Time

Candidates should reach the exam centre prior to the notified time. At the TANCET exam centre, candidates will have to go through the identification formalities and frisking process. Additionally, planning the ETA beforehand will help candidates avoid the last-minute rush. Candidates may face traffic enroute to the exam centre. Hence. to avoid any last minute stress, candidates must reach the exam venue at least an hour before the reporting time.

5. Check Seating Arrangements

After the identification process, candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall. They have to take a seat inside the examination hall according to the allotted roll no. on the TANCET admit card. The seat no. will not be changed before the exam.

6. Go Through TANCET Question Paper Quickly

Once the invigilator distributes the TANCET question paper, candidates must quickly read the instructions and then go through its questions. Candidates are advised to start with the section they can complete in less time with maximum accuracy.

7. Fill up the OMR Sheet Cautiously

The invigilator will provide one OMR sheet to every candidate. Candidates must fill the OMR sheet cautiously by following all the instructions. TANCET OMR sheets will be evaluated based on computer software; therefore, candidates not filling the sheet properly may be evaluated incorrectly. Candidates should fill the OMR sheet with a blue or black pen only. While filling the sheet, candidates must ensure shading the circle next to the correct answer option carefully. The pen marks should not extend beyond the borders of the circle.

8. Returning Question Book & Answer Sheet after Exam

After completing the TANCET 2024 exam, candidates must return the question paper and answer sheet to the invigilator. In case they fail to do so, they will get disqualified from the exam.

Things to Avoid on TANCET Exam Day

Here are some of the practices that must be avoided on the TANCET 2024 exam day:

1. Don’t Carry Electronic Gadgets

Candidates should avoid carrying any electronic gadgets to the exam centre. These electronic gadgets include but is not limited to

  • Calculator
  • Mobile phone
  • Wristwatch
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Camera

Candidates are allowed inside the exam hall after frisking by the security officials.

2. Prohibited Material Inside the Exam Centre

Candidates are not allowed to carry anything except a pen and other stationery material mentioned on the admit card. The invigilator will provide a plain sheet for rough work for the TANCET exam. Candidates have to submit the rough sheet along with the question book and OMR sheet before leaving the exam centre.

3. Don’t Spend too Much Time on One Question

During the TANCET exam, candidates get 120 minutes to answer 100 questions. They should try to answer each question in one minute to have 20 minutes left for revision. Time management is crucial during exams. Therefore, candidates must avoid spending to much time on one question. In case the test taker finds he/she is tuck on a question for too long, they are advised to skip the same and revisit the same if time is left after attempting all the questions.

4. Don’t Leave TANCET Exam Hall Before Stipulated Time

Even if a candidate has finished his paper before time, he/she must revise the paper to ensure accuracy. If a test taker has doubts over an answer, he/she must use this time to verify its correctness.

5. Do not Involve in Malpractice

Test takers must not follow any malpractice inside the exam centre to get a high score. If any candidate is found to be following unfair means, s/he would be disqualified from taking the test immediately. Hence, candidates should try to score high based on their own capabilities.

6. Avoid Attempting all Questions

TANCET 2024 exam will have a negative marking for 1/3 marks. That is to say for every three incorrect responses marked by the candidate, one mark will be deducted. Candidates tend to attempt all the questions even if they do not know the answer. However, we recommend not to attempt a question on pure guesswork. With each incorrect response, the test taker will reduce his/her chance of TN MBA/MCA admission.
