The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is a licensing exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have earned their primary medical qualification from an institution abroad must pass this exam to obtain registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council (SMC) to practice in India.
