NEET PG Exam 2026: Application Form (OUT), Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Cutoff

The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences will soon release the NEET PG information bulletin and notify the registration and application dates. The NEET PG 2026 exam will be conducted on August 30.

NBE conducting body has not specified any limit regarding number of attempts in NEET PG exam. At same time, there is no age limit for exam. Candidates can appear as many times as they want in their prusuit of postgraduate medical courses. Around 2 Lakh candidates appear for NEET PG every year. The number varies every year. Around 2.40 lakh candidates had appeared in NEET PG 2025 exam. A total of 2,28,540 candidates appeared for the NEET PG 2024 exam. In NEET PG 2023, around 2,06,541 candidates appeared for the exam. There is no guidelines as such which topics must be finished first for NEET PG. It varies from candidate to candidate. Candidates may attempt to finish lengthy topics first as it takes time. Another way is to finish high weightage subjects first. No. NBE doesn't send NEET PG admit card to individual candidate. Admit card is released on official website, nbe.edu.in and candidates have to download it by providing details such as application number and password. 

Yes, you can retrieve login password to download NEET PG admit card if you forget it. Candidates need to visit the official website, nbe.edu.in and click forget password in application login section. Thereafter, they have to enter user ID and security code to get new password. New password to download NEET PG admit card will be sent on your mobile number.

Yes. Mark is deducted for each wrong answer in NEET PG. For each right answer, candidates get 4 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted. As there is provision of the negative marking in exam, students are advised to answer only those questions where they feel confidence of right answer.

There is no other exam in the nation which is conducted for the Admission to the Medical PG courses or post MBBS courses but the AIIMS and some other institutions conduct their separate exam.

NEET PG counselling is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling is held online for seat allotment. It must be noted online registration and choice declaration is mandatory to participate in the counselling process. It must be noted only those who qualify the exam with the minimum cut off score will be eligible to participate in the counselling rounds for seat allotment. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts online counselling for seat allotment. Candidates have to register and declare choice for college and course for seat allotment.
