NEET SS 2025 Exam Analysis

The National Board of Examination (NBE) conducted the NEET SS 2025 exam on December 26 and December 27, 2025. The NEET Super Speciality exam was held in two slots on each day. The NEET SS exam timing was 9.00 to 11.30 AM for slot 1 and 2.00 to 4.30 PM for slot 2. Candidates who took the exam shared the feedback regarding exam difficulty level, types of questions asked and exam pattern. Q:   What is the NEET SS Cutoff 2025?
A: 

The GGSIPU NEET SS Cutoff 2025 will soon be released after the exam is conducted as per schedule. However, according to the NEET SS Cutoff 2024, the cutoff closing rank ranged from 7 to 2485 for the General AI category. Out of all the specialisations, the most the toughest one for admission was DM in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and the easiest was MCh in Paediatric Surgery. For more details, click here

Q:   When will NBE release NEET SS cutoff?
A: 

NBE or the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), the NEET SS exam conducting authority, released the cutoff scores or the qualifying scores along with the result on January 23, 2026. Even though NBE announces the NEET SS qualifying percentile in the information bulletin, the exact qualifying marks, or the NEET SS cutoff is released on the day of the result declaration.

NEET SS Question Paper 2025

The NBE NEET SS 2025 exam was held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode. The NEET SS question paper 2025 was displayed on the allotted computers. Candidates needed to submit their answers online. It may be noted here that the candidates were not handed over the question paper in printed format. Hence, the NEET SS exam analysis 2025 shared by the test-takers was based on memory-based questions.

The NEET SS 2025 exam was of moderate difficulty level. Some groups like Obstetrics and Gynaecology were easy and some such as Medical and Paediatric were moderate.

  • Day 1 question paper was moderate.
  • Day 2 paper was moderate too.
  • Paper was lengthy and time-taking.

  • Around 50 per cent questions were based on clinical experience.
  • 30 per cent were concept-based questions.
  • 20 per cent were one-liner questions.

Q:   What is the format of the NEET SS result?
A: 

The NEET SS result is released in two formats, the scorecard, and merit list. While the NEET SS scorecard will have to be downloaded by candidates after logging in to the official website, the NEET SS merit list will be released by NBE or the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for each courses separately. The formats of both types of NEET SS result is PDF. Candidates must download and preserve the NEET SS scorecard till the admission process is over. 

Q:   What was the difficulty level of NEET SS 2024 exam?
A: 

The NEET SS 2024 exam was conducted on March 29 and March 30, 2025, in a window of two days and two slots. According to the test-takers, the difficulty level of the exam was moderate to tough. Those who attempted the exam for the first time found the difficulty level to be very tough. Those who appeared for the second or third time found the NEET SS 2024 difficulty level to be on the moderate to tough lines. Some courses such as Oncology, Critical Care Medicine, and Surgical Groups had higher difficulty levels as compared to other groups. 

Q:   What is a good score in NEET SS?
A: 

A good score in NEET SS is around 450 -500 out of 600 marks. Candidates who are able to obtain around 450 NEET SS scores are considered good scorers. In 2025, the NEET SS AIR rank 1 got 533 marks out of 600. Thus, 533 are good scores in the exam.
