Overview

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science will release the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination(FMGE) 2026 June result at natboard.edu.in. The Board will release the roll number, application ID, Total Score and the result status of the candidate. The Board will mention "Pass" or "Fail" against each candidate's roll number. The FMGE 2026 Scorecard will be available for six months from the declaration of results. 

The FMGE result PDF link will be available for the candidates. They will be required to search their roll number or application id in the result PDF.  The NBEMS will conduct the FMGE 2026 exam on June 28.

FMGE 2026 June Result Dates

The NBEMS will conduct the FMGE 2026 exam on June 28 and the Board will release the FMGE 2026 June Result on July 28. The exam will be conducted online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT).

How to Check FMGE 2026 Result?

The NBEMS will release the results online only. The candidates can see the process to check the FMGE 2026 Result below:  

  1. Go natboard.edu.in
  2. Select the exam name from tabs
  3. Choose the result for the FMGE 2026 June session
  4. Scroll through the list to find your roll number
  5. View your FMGE result
  6. Download and save the result

The NBEMS will also release the FMGE scorecard, which will be available for six months.

FMGE 2026 Passing Marks/Percentage

FMGE 2026 passing percentage is 50 per cent. Therefore, to qualify for this examination, a candidate needs to score 150 or above. Candidates must also note that there is no concession for candidates belonging to the reserved/ PWD category.

  1. Go to website of NBE and select FMGE.
  2. Using Applicant Login sign in to registered account.
  3. View FMGE scorecard and check for errors.
  4. Download save and print scorecard.

After downloading FMGE score card applicants are advised to save it for future reference.

What After FMGE 2026 June Result?

After the announcement of the FMGE result, here are some things to keep in mind: 

  • NBE will share the FMGE 2026 results with the Medical Council of India and the State Medical Councils
  • Candidates who clear the examination can apply to the ‘Secretary, Medical Council of India, Delhi’ or any other State Medical Council
  • Such candidates also have to pay the requisite registration fee
  • If a candidate has completed one year of compulsory rotatory internship, he/ she will be issued a permanent registration
  • If a candidate is in the process of completing the internship, he/ she will be issued a provisional registration

FMGE Previous Year Result Statistics:

The statistics for the FMGE 2024 December session will be updated when the examination result stats are out. Candidates can refer to the data of the previous years to know more about the trends of FMGE results given below. The total number of test-takers for the December session of FMGE 2022 was 30,548. Out of this, 9,840 candidates passed the exam. In June session, 22,092 candidates appeared and 2,346 candidates qualified for the exam. The trend for the past a few sessions of FMGE is illustrated below.

Q:   How many candidates qualified FMGE exam last year?
A: 

All the applicants who appear in the FMGE exam and secure a total of 150 marks out of the total 300 marks are declared FMGE qualified candidates.  

Last year in 2023, a total 38,355 candidates, appeared for the FMGE exam. Out of the total participated in the exam, 30,046 students failed and only 8309 could pass this examThe passing percentage was around 23%.

Q:   My FMGE result has been withheld. What does that mean?
A: 

If FMGE result has been withheld it means that the authorities hold back the results of the candidates with incomplete documentation. Once the deficit documents are submitted by the candidate, his/ her result is released.

List of documents that a candidate needs to carry for the issuance of FMGE 2026 Pass Certificate

  • FMGE 2026 admit card (December session only): The admit card should have a coloured passport-sized photograph affixed in the space provided.
  • Eligibility Certificate (Original copy issued by the MCI): Candidates who have passed the primary medical qualification during the years when the eligibility certificate was exempted need to submit proof of admission to the MBBS course.
  • MBBS Degree/ Certificate: Candidates must carry the Certificate of Primary Medical Qualification which is duly attested by the appropriate authority/attested by the Embassy of India in the country concerned. They must note that NBE will issue the pass certificate only on presentation of the Degree Certificate in original.
  • Passport (Original)
    • Indian Citizens (including NRI): Passport issued by the Government of India
    • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI): OCI Card issued by the Government of India along with the Passport issued by the country of their citizenship
    • Citizens of Nepal: Passport issued by the Government of Nepal (if they have obtained Primary Medical Qualification outside Nepal)
    • ID proof (Voter ID/ PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Aadhaar Card)

Q:   What is success rate in FMGE exam?
A: 

There are around 35- 40 thousands student participate in the FMGE exam every year. According to the previous year FMGE result statistics, the number of candidates who qualify and secure the FMGE certificates every session is between 20 - 30 %. Though this data can be changed if the number of applicants or difficulty level of exam changes drastically. 

Last year in 2023 a total of 38,355 applicants participate and the FMGE passing percentage was 23%

Q:   How can candidate download entry slip to collect FMGE pass certificate?
A: 

The entry slip can be downloaded from the official website by providing details such as roll number and date of birth. The NBEMS released a notification on the official website which states that students will be able to download their FMGE pass certificate from the official website. Along with it, it will also comprise the time duration during which the FMGE 2025 certificate can be downloaded.

Q:   Will FMGE pass certificate be issued online or offline?
A: 

FMGE pass certificate are issued offline. Those who qualified FMGE June session 2026 will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate. 

The authorities will issue FMGE certificates in offline mode only. Students are advised to download the certificate from the official website. The official dates for FMGE certificates for June session are yet to be out and it will be updated once it is out. 

Q:   If I do not qualify as per the FMGE exam result, can I retake the examination?
A: 

Yes, applicant can appear for the next session of FMGE exam. There is no capping on the number of attempts applicants appear in FMGE exam. 

Though students have to fill the FMGE application form every time, followed by paying the application fees. Hence it is advised that applicants need to be prepared before appearing for the exam.

May 16 to 18 - Phase 1 - Only the details of the applications can be modified.

May 21 to June 10 - Phase 2 - Corrections were allowed in the images uploaded during the application process.
