IIT Hyderabad Opens Applications for SPARC-NanoX Workshops Round 2; Apply by Nov 19
IIT Hyderabad has opened the application window for the second round of SPARC-NanoX Workshops, inviting participants to apply before the deadline of November 19, 2024. Check dates here
SPARC Nano X Workshop: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad is accepting application forms for SPARC-NanoX Workshops round 2 of Indo-Taiwan/US Collaborative Programs in Semiconductor Manufacturing. As per the schedule, the last date to fill up the IIT Hyderabad SPARC-NanoX Workshops round 2 application is November 19, 2024.
Interested candidates can visit the official website: nanox.iith.ac.in to apply online. Only those candidates who are in the 3rd or 4th year of UG Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or those in the 2nd year of M.Sc in Electronics, Physics, or Chemistry are eligible to register. Those pursuing a bachelor's/master’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, information science, or equivalent are not eligible.

SPARC Nano X Workshop
As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Education has entrusted IIT Hyderabad with the development of workforce training programs in collaboration with partners from the US and Taiwan under the SPARC scheme. Launched in 2021 with a budget of INR 76,000 crore, the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) aims to establish a sustainable semiconductor ecosystem.
IIT Hyderabad’s state-of-the-art Nano-X facility, a 4,000 sq. ft. fabrication centre, offers hands-on training in key semiconductor processes like lithography, deposition, and etching. These multi-phase workshops held both in India and abroad, are designed to equip approximately 65,000 professionals with the skills needed to meet the future demands of the semiconductor industry.
