Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed or are in final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI states that no minimum marks are required to appear in the AIBE exam. However, a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education.

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment

AIBE 2026 Syllabus PDF (Revised)

The AIBE exam is aimed at judging candidates' understanding of law subjects and whether they are fit enough to practice in a court of law. It may be noted that questions in the AIBE 21 exam will be asked from 19 topics, but each of these topics will carry a different weightage. For example, only two questions will be asked about Company Law, but there will be 10 questions about Constitutional Law. These will be aspects you need to be aware of to ace the AIBE exam.

Candidates must note that the AIBE 21 Answer Key 2026 will be released in two phases: First the AIBE 21 Provisional Answer Key 2026 and then AIBE 21 Final Answer Key. The answer key for AIBE will be released for all set codes and languages

Candidates will get an option to raise objections on the AIBE 21 Provisional Answer Key 2026. The final answer key will then be released after the Council receives the objections. Yes, candidates can raise objection on AIBE Answer Key. Based on the objections received, the AIBE Final Answer Key will be released. The AIBE Result is declared based on the final answer key.

There is no negative marking in the exam. But one mark is given for every correct answer. In case you leave any questions unanswered, nothing will be deducted.

Candidates who will successfully pass the AIBE exam will be issued the CoP by BCI. The qualified candidates will have to collect their Certificate of Practice from their respective State Bar Councils. It is a mandatory document to practice Law in India.
