No, Students who want to appear & qualify FMGE exam must have a MBBS degree. FMGE exam is conducted for the students who completed their MBBS degree from abroad and they want to practise in India. Though there are certain countries like UK, USA, Austraila, Canada & New Zeland, students passed from these countries don't need to appear in FMGE exam to practise in India.

Will FMGE pass certificate be issued online or offline?

FMGE pass certificate are issued offline. Those who qualified FMGE June session 2026 will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate. Overview

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has released the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) 2026 information bulletin on its portal - natboard.edu.in. The candidates are advised to read the information brochure to fill the registration form. The last date to apply online for the FMGE 2026 exam is May 11.
