NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing Postponed Again! Medicos Expresses Disappointment
Even though the case was scheduled for a hearing on March 25 before an Apex Court bench consisting of Justices BR Gavai and Augustine George Masih, it was postponed due to the establishment of a special Supreme Court bench in the second half of the day.
The Supreme Court of India has once again postponed the plea concerning the release of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 answer key. The plea, which was scheduled to be heard on March 25, 2025, has been further postponed till a further date. Even though the petition was scheduled for a hearing on March 25 in front of Justices BR Gavai and Augustine George Masih, it was postponed due to establishing a special Supreme Court bench in the second half of the day.
Despite the fact that the plea was set for a hearing before the Supreme Court, it has been deferred several times. The plea was filed in September of last year and has been postponed several times for various reasons, including non-presence of Government officials, the absence of NBE officials on the hearing date and other reasons.
Reportedly, one of the petitioners, Dr Ishika Jain, expressed her disappointment over the continuous postponement of the NEET PG Supreme Court hearing. She told the Daily that she, along with the other petitioners, will mention the case again. For the past two of three months, the NEET PG hearing case has been being deferred again and again. They list it for the next week, and then again, it doesnβt reach the bench.
NEET-PG applicants alleged in their petition to the Supreme Court that the introduction of NEET PG in two shifts and the normalisation process just three days before the exam had a negative impact on the students.
The petitioners stated that the NEET-PG information bulletin could potentially be altered at the discretion of the authorities and that there were no rules or regulations controlling examination administration.
It questioned the National Board of Examinations' (NBE) practice of not releasing NEET PG question papers, answer keys, and response sheets from participants taking the exam this year.
