The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has prescribed IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2019. Candidates willing to appear for the exam need to fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the age, educational qualification and nationality. According to IBPS PO eligibility criteria, candidates who are between 20 to 30 years and have completed their graduation are eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates must note that their eligibility will be verified at the time of document verification. If any candidate is found to be ineligible will be rejected from the recruitment process.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Nationality

Candidates applying for IBPS PO must be either –

A citizen of India or

(ii)A subject of Nepal or

(iii)A subject of Bhutan or

(iv)A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sir Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intension of permanently settling in India.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2019 – Age Limit

The age limit of candidates will be recognized as on August 1, 2019. The minimum age limit prescribed for IBPS PO is 20 years while the maximum age limit is 30 years. A candidate must have born not earlier than August 2, 1989 and not later than August 1, 1999.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as given below –

Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)	3 years
Persons With Benchmark Disabilities as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”	10 years
Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date of receipt of application) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment	5 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.198	5 years
Persons affected by 1984 riots	5 years

Any graduate candidate can apply for IBPS PO
Candidates must have valid marksheet/degree certificate
Candidates must have to enter the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering for the exam
The final result should have been declared on or before August 28, 2019
