IBPS Cut Off 2025: The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection will release the IBPS PO cutoff 2025 for all the categories on the official cutoff notice. The IBPS PO result for the exam will be released online soon. The IBPS PO 2024 Mains result was declared on January 31, 2025. The candidates should note that the IBPS PO cutoff 2024 for the General Category was increased by 3 marks. The IBPS PO 2024 cutoff for the General Category was 66. The IBPS conducted the IBPS PO Prelims exam on August 23 and 24, 2025. The Institute will conduct the IBPS PO main exam 2025 on October 12, 2025. IBPS will release IBPS PO cut-off 2025 in three stages exam, mains exam and final selection. The cut-off of IBPS PO exam is applied to total marks and section-wise marks. IBPS PO cut-off is released state-wise and category-wise. IBPS PO Prelims Cut off

The preliminary exam of IBPS PO comprises three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates need to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the minimum cut off marks.

IBPS PO Mains Cut off

The mains exam of IBPS PO comprised five sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis & Interpretation and English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). The total marks of the test are 225.

IBPS PO Interview Cut off

IBPS PO interview cut off is released along with the provisional allotment result. The Interview is held for 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview is 40 per cent for General category while 35 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD.

IBPS PO Final Allotment

IBPS PO final/provisional allotment cut off is released after the completion of the interview process. The category-wise and bank-wise cut off marks are made available in PDF form. The institute also releases the cut off for the reserve list. On the basis of the provisional allotment cut off, candidates are selected for appointment in any of the participating banks. The final/provisional allotment cut off is calculated based on the combined marks of mains exam and interview out of 100. The weightage given to the mains exam and interview for the provisional allotment is 80:20. The provisional allotment is done on the merit-cum-preference basis.

IBPS calculates the IBPS PO marks of the candidates through a method called normalisation that help candidates to get a rounded-up figure. Since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts and days the difficulty level of the question paper varies from one shift to another. Normalisation of score is done to balance and assist in fair evaluation. This method is followed both for prelims and Mains exams. No, the marks of IBPS PO prelims exam are not considered for the final merit list. For provisional allotment of candidates, only the marks obtained in Mains and interview are considered. IBPS PO scores are calculated out of 100 marks. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are taken into consideration to select candidates for the Mains exam. The prelims exam is qualifying in nature. It is just to screen candidates for the Mains exam. Candidates need to qualify the prelims exam inorder to get shortlisted for the Mains exam. Q: How is the provisional allotment through IBPS PO exam done?

The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Banks and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted bank. This does not constitute an offer of employment. In case it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria his/her candidature/ chance in the process shall stand cancelled. IBPS PO final allotment is done based on the performance in the Mains exam and interview. As the provisional allotment will be made to participating banks on merit cum preference basis, once the provisional allotment is made, no request for change shall be entertained. Any request for change shall result in cancellation of candidature.

In the event of two or more candidates having obtained the same score, merit order is decided as per date of birth (the candidate senior in age is placed before/ above the candidate junior in age), as per the prevailing practice.
