UGC NET 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC NET 2026 exam from June 22 to June 30 at various centres across the country. As the June session exam is approaching, candidates can check below the UGC NET English Previous Year Question papers PDF to strengthen their preparation. With the help of previous years' question papers, candidates will come to know the difficulty level of an exam, type of questions asked, weightage and more. It will also help them to understand the actual question pattern, improves time management, gain confidence and also make it crucial in the last preparation phase. The UGC NET exam consists of two papers namely Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is common for all the candidates which is based on teaching/research aptitude and Paper 2 is subject-specific and is based on the post graduate subject. In total 85 subjects are there namely history, geography, political science, etc.

UGC NET 2026 English Paper Pattern
The UGC NET English exam consists of two papers namely paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper has 50 questions with total of 100 marks whereas Paper 2 has 100 questions with a total of 200 marks. The duration of an exam is 3 hours. Scroll down to know the paper pattern:

- All the questions in Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory.
