UGC NET 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET 2026 exam from June 22 to June 30 at various centres across the country. The UGC NET exam consists of two papers namely Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is common for all the candidates which is based on teaching/research aptitude and Paper 2 is subject-specific and is based on the post graduate subject. In total 85 subjects are there namely history, geography, political science, etc.

UGC NET 2026 English Paper Pattern
The UGC NET English exam consists of two papers namely paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper has 50 questions with total of 100 marks whereas Paper 2 has 100 questions with a total of 200 marks. The duration of an exam is 3 hours. Scroll down to know the paper pattern:

- All the questions in Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory.
- The medium of the question paper is in English & Hindi only. Candidates need to choose the medium carefully.

No. A candidate will not receive the UGC NET City Intimation Slip by post. The authority will release the City slip on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates required their login credentials to download the city slip including the application number and date of birth.
