SSC CHSL Tier-II exam is just around the corner and it will be conducted on February 14 across the nation simultaneously. The SSC CHSL exam is very important, as it is conducted to recruit the supporting staff in the Union Ministries and associated offices. The SSC CHSL tier II exam is a descriptive type exam and the candidates need to write essay and letter/application in the exam.

The candidates must prepare for the CHSL exam by writing a good number of essays, letter and application. At this last hour of preparation, the candidates need to follow the following tips to score better in the SSC CHSL Tier-II exam. SSC CHSL Tier-II exam tests the coherence of ideas and thinking abilities and opinion of the candidate about a Social, Economic, Political or administrative issue.
Essay
First, the candidate should understand “what is an essay”. An essay is a chronological presentation of facts, events and opinion about the topic asked in the paper. The candidate should present the facts, events, opinion and other supplementary things in their essay. The essay is a representation of the personality of the candidate. It is very important to project the personality rightly.
To write a good essay, the candidate should read as much as he can. Reading will help the candidates to understand the complex issues and their pertinent solutions. The socio-economic problems are persisting in the Indian society way before independence. The rural-urban divide is persisting in India. Letter and Application Writing
Letter and Application writing is the second most important component in the SSC CHSL Tier-II exam. The most important thing in the Letter and Applications is the format and drafting. The candidates must understand the difference in the letter and application. The letter has an informal orientation and the application is formal. Both have different formats. The letter and application questions test their drafting abilities.
Practice is the key
Practice by writing the mock essays, applications and letters are the keys to score better in the CHSL Tier-II exam. The practice will make them comfortable with the prescribed time limits. The candidates should practice the essay writing in a time-bound manner. This will help in writing the essay and letter on the exam day. Revision by writing is the only mantra for the SSC CHSL Tier-II exam.

The process to download the SSC CHSL city intimation slip is shared below-
- Visit ssc.gov.in
- Login using the registration number and password
- Go to the SSC CHSL exam on the dashboard
- Click on the city-live link
- Download the slip to know the allotted exam date, shift timings and city
