SSC CHSL 2020 Paper-II was conducted on January 9, 2022, in offline mode. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducted the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) exam despite the rising cases of COVID-19 infections across the nation. Earlier, the SSC had released the admit cards for all the eligible candidates mentioning the exam centre details and instructions for the exam.

SSC CHSL 2020 Paper-II asked the following questions in the official question paper. The candidates were required to write one essay and one letter on the following topic.

Essay Topic - The advantage and disadvantages of living in a metropolitan city. (250 Words)

Letter Question - You are Hemdev or Hema, location - Mohd. Kazi Kareem Nagar, post office- Haider Pur, Muzaffarnagar, 251001. Write a letter to the Municipal Councillor of your area drawing his attention towards the increasing population of stray dogs in your locality and the problems arising due to it.

Q: What type of questions are asked in SSC CHSL exam?

SSC CHSL Tier 1 contains objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs). On the other hand, SSC CHSL Tier 2 is objective type as well, except for Module-II of Section-3, which is a Typing or Skill Test. The questions are set in English, Hindi and language opted by candidates, except for Module-II (i.e. English Language and Comprehension module) in Section II of Tier 2 examination.

The candidates must follow the word limit, but a variation of 10 per cent is allowed. The candidates need to think and write in the specified time.

Letter topic was very generic and the candidates need to inform the municipal councillor regarding the problems related to the stray dogs in one’s area. The candidates were required to opt for the names given in the question itself. This is done to maintain uniformity across the answers. The candidates who do not opt for the details can be disqualified on the grounds of cheating.

SSC CHSL Paper-II is a very important stage of the exam because the marks secured at this stage is considered for the final merit.
