CU Karnataka Admission Through CUET UG
The Central University of Karnataka is conducting the CU Karnataka CUET counselling process on its official website for 2026 admissions. The university has released the CU Karnataka UG Counselling Schedule at cuk.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the Common University Entrance Test and JEE Mains 2026 are eligible to apply for undergraduate programme admissions.
Only candidates who fill out their CU Karnataka UG counselling registration form before the deadline at cukcuet.samarth.edu.in will be able to participate in the CU Karnataka UG Counselling Process based on the CUK CUET Cut Off 2026. Supernumerary Quota (SNQ)* is a system followed by engineering/polytechnic colleges, wherein they reserve 5% of their seats over the actual seat matrix for the students from Economically Poorer Sections of the Society. These students pay reduced tuition fees.

The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. The candidates are supposed to fill the forms for college and course for seat allotment. Candidates must stay updated with the important dates for admission to participating universities.
The number of seats offered through CUET UG counselling is not certain, it is estimated to be approximately 10,000 seats. Seat availability depends on course and university that candidate has applied for. Candidates can check the university wise CUET counselling seats on its repective official website.

After registering at the official website of CU Karnataka, aspirants have to log in once again to fill out the CU Karnataka counselling application form. Below is the process to apply for CUET admissions 2026.
- Visit the link: cukcuet.samarth.edu.in.
- Under the Registered User Login, Enter your CUET Application Number as username.
- Enter your secret password.
- Enter the Captcha & click on login.
- Click on Complete Profile to fill in the registration details (Profile, Academic, Address, Bank, and other details)

Candidates registering themselves for admission at Central University of Karnataka must ensure to keep the following documents with them to avoid any delay in the counselling registration process.

CUET UG result 2027 will be declared tentatively in first week of July 2027 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appear for the exam can download the scorecard online. Candidates, upon downloading the CUET scorecard, must check the following details mentioned on the scorecard:

Candidates must note that after the issue of CUET UG scorecard, no request for re-evaluation of the scores will be entertained under any circumstances.
The frequency of CUET counselling rounds is dependent on:
- Availability of seats
- Number of vacant seat after each round
- CUET cut-off
While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. Candidates must check the institute wise subject requirement for the course candidate wishes to apply for. If the candidate has applied for four CUET domain subjects and appears for three subjects, it may affect the overall percentile of the candidate. However, if the domain subjects for which the student has appeared, qualify as per the institute’s course requirement, they will be eligible for admission process.

Central University of Karnataka Admission Through CUET 2026: Open Spot Counselling
Once all the merit lists are released, including the SNQ Merit List, Central University of Karnataka releases a list, including vacant seats for which the university schedules an open spot counselling in offline mode. The following candidates who could not get admission in the merit lists and SNQ lists are eligible for open spot counselling at Central University of Karnataka:
- Candidates registered on CUK-Samarth Portal.
- Unregistered candidates on CUK-Samarth Portal but with valid CUET UG scores.
- Candidates shortlisted in previous merit list/s who could not get admission for any reason.
- Candidates with revised eligibility of domain test. Check ANNEXURE-1 for revised eligibility.
Note: Candidates with revised domain test will be considered for admission only after regular domain test candidates get exhausted in offline mode.

Yes, candidate will have to participate in CUET UG counselling process even if they are class 12th topper. Candidates cannnot get direct admission to central universities without CUET. Class 12th marks are generally used for tie breaking criteria only.
CUET UG counselling process schedule is announced by the participating universities after the declaration of CUET results. The process will be conducted separately by the universities, and it will not be a centralised counselling system.
The final CUET answer key published by the NTA serves as the basis for the CUET result. Following this, it is anticipated that all of the participating universities will publish their separate cut-off lists (admission/merit lists) and dates for student acceptance to various UG programs.
Candidates must now complete the application in order to be admitted to the college they choose during the application process. Depending on the number of open seats, the college will release a separate cutoff and merit list in one or more rounds following the submission of the registration form on the college website.
