NTA will mention the applicant's details and subject-wise score for CUET 2026. The scores will be sent to the universities for which candidates have applied soon after the declaration of results. Q:   I have filled in for 3 domain subjects in CUET. How will it affect my result if I only attempt 2 of it?
A: 

While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. Candidates must check the institute wise subject requirement for the course candidate wishes to apply for. If the candidate has applied for four CUET domain subjects and appears for three subjects, it may affect the overall percentile of the candidate. However, if the domain subjects for which the student has appeared, qualify as per the institute’s course requirement, they will be eligible for admission process.

Q:   Who conducts CUET UG counselling?
A: 

The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. The candidates are supposed to fill the forms for college and course for seat allotment. Candidates must stay updated with the important dates for admission to participating universities. 

Q:   Is CUET UG counselling important for admission to University of Delhi?
A: 

Yes, candidates must have CUET UG score to apply for admissions at University of Delhi. Admission to UG courses of DU is offered through CUET UG scores. DU releases the CUET UG DU cut off for courses and colleges. Only candidates meeting the cut off criteria will be offered final admission to the desired course. 

Q:   I am a class 12th board topper. Do I need to participate in CUET UG counselling or will I be offered direct admission?
A: 

Yes, candidate will have to participate in CUET UG counselling process even if they are class 12th topper. Candidates cannnot get direct admission to central universities without CUET. Class 12th marks are generally used for tie breaking criteria only.

CUET 2026 Seat Allotment for Jamia Millia Islamia

After releasing the merit list, Jamia Millia Islamia will prepare the seat allotment list for the JMI admission through CUET 2026. Once made available officially, the candidates can download the JMI seat allotment list from the official website. Jamia Millia Islamia University will also release the provisional admission letter along with the seat allotment list. To download the letter, candidates need to use their login ID and password. After obtaining the admission letter, candidates will have to complete the admission process by paying the course admission fee.

NO, CUET is not required to get admission in BA at Oriental University. The university accepts CUET (UG) scores, admissions to the standard BA programmes are primarily merit-based. To be eligible for admission, applicants should have passed Class 12 with at least 40% aggregate score.
