The NTA conducted the CUET PG 2026 online as a Computer-Based Test(CBT) from March 6 to 27. The candidates who appeared in a specific paper will now be required to apply for the Counselling process in the participating institutions.
There are 198 participating institutions in the CUET PG 2026 exam. As per the data shared by the National Testing Agency, the break-up of the universities/institutions are as follows:

After the declaration of results, the National Testing Agency will inform the concerned university of the candidates' names, application numbers, application details, marks, category, and course preferences. Around 4 lakh candidates are expected to appear for CUET PG 2026 examinations to get admissions in the 157 subjects offered in master's degree and professional degree courses. NTA will generate the CUET PG score card, and no separate merit list will be announced. It will share the scorecards with the participating institutes. They will conduct the counselling process separately. During this process, the universities will release separate merit lists.
CUET PG 2026 is a nation-level exam conducted for admissions to the master's degree and professional degree courses for around 200 participating universities. Approximately 200 universities across India accept the CUET PG scores. The exam scores will be used to grant admission to the postgraduate or master's degree courses across multiple streams. After the result is declared, these universities will conduct their admission process separately. There is no common counselling process for the CUET PG participating universities. Candidates have to qualify for the CUET PG exam and meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the CUET PG participating universities.
Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted has 300 marks as the total number of questions will be 75.
The exam pattern of CUET PG is such that, these 100 MCQ questions will be divided in two sections. Section will consist of 25 questions on Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability and Section B will consist of 75 domain-specific questions. While making the merit list of CUET PG courses by JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), they doesnot include the section A marks scored by the candidates. Therefore the final marks out which the CUET PG 2023 merist list is made are 300 marks.

NSUT Admission Through CUET PG 2026
The Nataji Subas University of Technology releases the information brochure separately for the M.Sc and M.A. courses. The candidates should note that the NSUT 2026 applications will start tentatively in the last week of May 2026. The University mention the admission procedure in its information brochure in the following way.
- Before applying to the University, the candidates must read and understand all the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
- All interested candidates must fill the NSUT Application form on its official website -nsut.ac.in.
- The candidates should fill one application for one course. There is no common application facility for all courses.
- The candidates are advised to keep the PDF files of all their documents ready before they start the online application or they can saved it in the system for uploading purposes.
- Email will be the only way of communication, so the candidates are advised to use an active email account and keep space in it so that the University communication shall not bounce.
- The candidates appearing in their final year or any candidates waiting to clear their back paper (of any year) of the degree course can also apply. Such candidates will be required to submit a certificate as per the proforma in Annexure III along with the application form at the time of admission.
- At the time of admission, the candidate will be required to submit two passport-size photographs, a copy of the NSUT application form, the CUET PG admit card and scorecard, and attested copies of their certificates.
- Once a candidate is offered a seat in any round, he or she will be required to pay the admission fee immediately. In the absence of the fee, his or her candidature will not b considered and the next candidates in merit will be offered the seat.

In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of the candidate or his/her photograph and signature shown on the CUET-PG admit card, candidates should immediately approach the NTA Help Line between 10.00 A. M. and 5.00 P. M. NTA mentions, "In such a case, the candidate would appear in the examination with the already downloaded Admit Card. However, NTA will take necessary action to make corrections in the record later.
CUET PG admit card will be released three to four days prior to the commencement of the candidates' CUET PG exam date. CUET-PG 2026 Advance City Intimation Slip is expected to be released in the fourth week of February 2026. The CUET PG 2026 city intimation slip will carry details such as Application Number, Candidate Name, Father's Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Person with Disability and Scribe Requirement Status, City of Exam, State of Exam, Date of Examination, Slot and Subject and Medium.
Candidates had to follow the method given below to fill the CUET PG 2026 application form.
- Visit the exam portal
- Read the instructions and select the agreement checkbox, followed by clicking on the tab Click Here to Proceed
- Enter personal details
- Choose password and security question and enter captcha
- Log in with the credentials to complete the application process
- Complete the CUET PG 2026 application form by entering the information related to personal details, paper selection, exam cities and educational details
- Upload photograph and signature
- Upload realtime photograph captured through web camera
- Pay the application fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.
After this, the application confirmation page will be generated, which has to be downloaded and printed.
The document should be saved till the admission process is completed. Applicants are also provided with an application correction facility to make necessary changes to the form.
NTA had started the CUET PG 2026 application process on December 14, 2025, at the official website for admissions to the master's degree programmes offered at various participating institutes.
CUET PG registration process 2026 was completely online, and candidates could fill out the application form by creating a registered account at the official website. The last date for filling out the CUET PG application form 2026 was January 23, 2026. Originally, the last date of application was January 14, 2026, which was extended till January 20 and January 23. The application fee had to be paid by January 25, 11.50 PM.

The candidates should note that the NSUT will tentatively release the application form in May.
NSUT Online Application Fee
The candidates will be required to pay the application fee for each application. The NSUT application fee is INR 1500 (as per the previous information brochure). At the time of Counselling, the candidates will be required to carry a demand draft of INR 5000 for the admission fee(previous year). The University will mention the Demand Draft details in the Counselling letter.
