The MCAER PG-CET 2026 official notification is expected to be published in February 2026. The application process is likely to open in mid-February 2026. The MCAER admit card 2026 is expected to be issued online in May 2026. MCAER CET 2026 exam will be conducted from the second week of June 2026. The result is likely to be published in July 2026. What is the MCAER CET?

MCAER PG CET is conducted by Maharashtra Agriculture Universities Examination Board to shortlist students for admission in PG-level courses including Master of Science (MSc), Master of Engineering and Technology (MTech), and Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) offered at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in Maharashtra. A state-level entrance exam, MCAER CET is conducted in a paper-pencil-based mode. Approximately 10,000 students appear for the exam every year.

Q:   Is there any specific color pen needs to be used in MCAER PG CET Exam?
A: 

Yes since MCAER PG CET is a offline exam hence applicant needs to carry their pen along with them to the examination hall. Candidates need to fill the circle present in the OMR sheet with black color pen only. If any candidate uses any other color pen then their evaluation will be not done and their candidature will be rejected. 

The candidate must fully satisfy himself/ herself about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle, once any answer is marked, it is advisable not to change it under any conditions.

MCAER PG CET 2026 Expected Result

The result of MCAER PG CET will be released in the second week of July 2026 on the official website. The exam authorities will announce results of MCAER PG CET 2026 in the form of a merit list and also as a scorecard. Candidates can download scorecard by logging in to official website through their registration credentials. The scorecard has to be preserved by the candidates till the admission process is complete.

MCAER PG CET 2026 Cutoff

MCAER CET 2026 cut off is expected to be 110 out of 200 for General category and 100 out of 200 for all reserved categories. These scores are the minimum scores required to qualify for the exam.But the actual score depends on the number of seats available and the competition.

Cutoff marks of MCAER CET 2026 will be released on webpage of MCAER after declaration of the result. Cutoff marks are the minimum marks required in each of the streams to qualify for the examination. Moreover, the participating colleges of MCAER PG CET 2026 will also publish their category-wise cut off marks. MCAER PG CET 2026 Counselling schedule and process will be released on official website of Common Entrance Test for admissions. All students whose name are displayed in the MCAER merit list will need to take part in the counselling round for admission. There will be three rounds of counselling and the number of rounds may change depending on the number of empty seats. In this round, candidates will have to be present at the designated counselling centre or venue and get requisite documents verified.

MCAER PG CET 2026 Admit Card

The MCAER PG CET admit card 2026 is expected to be available in the last week of May 2026, from the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research, by filling in details such as Username and Password.

MCAER PG CET admit card is a mandatory document that every student must carry to exam centre, along with valid photo ID. MCAER PG CET 2026 Syllabus

The MCAER PG CET 2024 syllabus covers Agriculture, Forestry, Food Science, and Biotechnology. According to the exam conducting body, 80 per cent of questions will be set on the basis of the syllabus of the main degree/stream and 20 per cent from the syllabi of other eligible degrees/streams.

MCAER PG CET 2026 Exam Pattern

The MCAER PG CET exam pattern 2026 will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions - 1 mark each, and there will no negative marking for incorrect answers it is a paper-pencil-based test of two hours duration.  The questions are multiple-choice types wherein there are four answer options. The medium or the language of the question paper will be English.

MCAER PG CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To take the MCAER PG CET exam, candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed their graduation degree of at least three years duration in the relevant subject to be eligible for MCAER CET 2026.
  • They should have secured at least 55 per cent marks or a 5.5 CGPA score on a scale of 10 in their bachelor's degree if belonging to the open category.
  • In case of reserved categories including, Schedule Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Vimukta Jati (A) (VJ-a), Nomadic Tribes (B) NT-b), Nomadic Tribes (C) (NT-c), Nomadic Tribes (D) (NT-d), Other backward class (OBC), Special Backward Category (SBC), socially and educationally backward class (SEBC), Economically weaker section(EWS) and Physically Handicapped (PH), the candidates should have secured at least 50 per cent marks or 5.0 CGPA score on a scale of 10 in aggregate of all subjects. 
  • Candidates in the final year of their graduation degree are also eligible to apply for MCAER PG CET 2026.

MUAEB is responsible for creating the final merit list for MCAER CET 2024 by considering 70 per cent of the marks achieved in the MCAER CET exam and 30 per cent of the CGPA score from the qualifying degree examination.
