The University accepts CUET scores to admit students for the BA (Hons) programme. However, candidates seeking admission need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below. The BHU BA eligibility criteria is mentioned in the following table:

For admission to a BHU BA (Hons) course, aspirants need to complete the CUET-UG application process. NTA carries out the registrations in online mode. Eligible students can visit NTA CUET 2025 website to apply. The application process includes registration, form filling, document upload, and payment of the application fees. Further, to submit the application successfully, candidates must pay the fee on time. Admission to the BA (Hons) programmes at BHU is based on CUET-UG scores. Only the students with a valid score on this exam are admitted by the university. For admission to BHU BA courses, the candidate must be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. Yes, it is necessary that the candidates seeking admission to BA Hons in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics studied Maths in the qualifying examination. For other specialisations, candidates without maths in Class 12 shall also be eligible to apply. For verification purposes. Candidates also have to provide the academic certificates during form filling and admission confirmation or counselling.
Yes, Banaras Hindu University accepts CUET-UG entrance exam scores for admission to BA (Hons) course. Earlier, admission to the UG course was through BHU UET. Moreover, only the candidates who have valid CUET-UG scores become eligible to register for the counselling round. The CUET application process is carried out in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Further, NTA conducts CUET-UG 2024 entrance test. The exam is scheduled between May 15 and May 31.
BHU BA Admission 2025: How to Apply?
BHU is accepting CUET-UG entrance exam scores for admission to several undergraduate courses. For BHU course admission, aspirants must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
1. BHU BA (Hons) Application Process 2025
The BHU application process is conducted online through the official website of NTA. For successful application submission, candidates need to pay an application fee. The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender. The application process consists of the following steps:
- Visit the official website of CUET-UG (cuet.samarth.ac.in) and click on the 'New Registration' tab and read the instructions carefully before proceeding.
- Fill out the application form with all the mandatory details such as personal, educational qualifications etc.
- Upload the scanned photograph and signature as per the prescribed specifications.
- Select the course and BHU as per your preference and pay the CUET application fee as mentioned above.
2. CUET Entrance Test
After successful registration, candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'. The next step is to appear for the entrance test as scheduled.
3. Register for CUET-UG Counselling through the BHU UG Admission Portal
After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU undergraduate courses are required to register online for CUET-UG Counselling on the University UG admission portal. Candidates who appeared for the CUET-UG exam are only eligible to register themselves for the counselling process.

4. Counselling Round
Based on candidates' scores in CUET-UG, candidates are then required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course(s) they have applied for. After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU. The total tuition fee ranges between INR 5,900 and INR 11,900. This fee amount is taken from the official website. It is still subject to changes.
BHU BA Cutoff
BHU cutoff is released for the BA course admission until all the seats are filled. In 2023, the BHU BA CUET cutoff score in the last round ranged from 187.08 to 212.43 for the General All-India category students. Students can further check out the following table for the BHU BA cutoff 2023:

During the registration procedure, candidates need to upload scanned copies of a few important documents. The documents must be in PDF/JPEG format. Further, the documents to be uploaded are:
- Matriculation or its equivalent certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and income certificate (SC/ST) issued by the appropriate authority

BHU UET counselling process is carried out completely in online mode. Candidates can register for the counselling by following below-mentioned steps:
STEP 1: Candidates need to visit the BHU admission portal to register for the online counselling procedure. To create login credentials, candidates have to provide their NTA application number, and other details along with email ID and create a password to activate the registration account.
STEP 2: Login by entering the Email ID and password and start filling out the application form and upload the required documents. The documents to be uploaded (PDF/JPEG format) are:
