Banaras Hindu University (BHU) BSc Courses & Fees 2025: Dates, Eligibility, Cutoff, Admission

The university offers three to four year long BSc (Hons) courses. It is available in different specialisations, such as Agriculture, Mathematics, and Biology. The BSc (Hons) course in Agriculture is also offered at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, and Mirzapur under Special Courses of Studies. Admission to the BSc (H) at BHU is through the NTA CUET-UG exam. The students have to apply for this exam and pass it with a good score to secure admission to the university. BHU BSc Nursing fee structure includes hostel fees, tuition fees, security deposit, etc. The tuition fee is charged annually or semester-wise. BHU BSc Nursing tuition fee is INR 3,000 and hostel charges are INR 14,625. Students after selection need to pay the admission fee amount for seat confirmation. It must be noted that the mentioned amount is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative. 

The students must meet the eligibility criteria for admission in BHU BSc (H) Nursing course. Candidates who are Class 12 or equivalent exam pass with at least 50% aggregate can apply. It is important that the students keep the important documents with them at the time of admission. 

BHU has not released placement report 2023 as of now. However, as per media reports, the overall the highest and average package offered was INR 1.2 crore per annum and INR 23.13 LPA, respectively. Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well. 

Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required. 

BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below: 

1. The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
2. Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
3. After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
4. Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.

BHU CUET cutoff 2025 was published for admission to various UG-level courses in the form of scores. For the General AI category, the last round cutoff varied from 34.58 to 628.46. Hence, students should attain a score that is above 34.58 to be able to secure a seat at BHU. 

Note: This is the cutoff for the General AI category; other categories will have different cutoffs accordingly. 

BHU offers entrance-based admissions to all its UG and PG courses. To get admission to any UG and PG courses, it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams. Further, the university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, candidates are required to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

BHU offers a two-year full-time MSc course via its IIT BHU college. The institute accepts the IIT JAM entrance exam scores, followed by its counselling rounds for admission. During the last round, the IIT BHU JAM cutoff 2025 varied between 325 and 409 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU offers 100 seats for its BSc (Nursing) programme. The course seats are filled by the college based on the preset eligibility and selection criteria. Candidates must appear for NEET UG to secure a seat. The mentioned seat information is sourced from the official website of the college/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

BHU CUET PG cutoff 2025 was released for various postgraduate courses. As per the last round, the cutoff scores ranged between 20 and 650 for the General AI category students. Yes, Banaras Hindu University is usually open for all to visit. As per the information collated from web, non-BHU students can also visit and explore the campus. However, some of the areas such as library might be restricted for students. 

Hostels are only available for students pursuing a course from the university. BHU provides a hostel to 50% of students via entrance results.

BHU 2026 BSc Nursing admission is based on CUET UG scores. The BHU merit list for CUET UG will be released on the official website of BHU. According to the BHU, there will be three rounds of counselling along with an optional fourth round, if the seats remain vacant. Talking about the BHU maximum cutoff score of the previous year, B.Sc. (Hons) in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology became the most competitive course with a cutoff score of 628.46 for the students belonging to the General quota. 

BHU accepts NEET UG scores for admisison to the MBBS, BDS and BSc in Nursing courses. As per the NEET UG Round 2 cutoff 2024, the closing rank for the MBBS course was 1014 for the students belonging to the General AI category students. For the BDS and BSc in Nursing courses, the NEET UG closing ranks were 26356 and 46830. So considering the Round 1 cutoff, students seeking admission to BHU via NEET UG must aim to secure over and over the ranks mentioned here.

BHU CUET PG cutoff 2025 was announced for admission for multiple specialisations, like MA, MSc, LLM, MBA, etc. According to the BHU CUET PG cutoff 2025, the overall closing score in the General category stood between 5 and 650. In the last round, the toughest and the easiest courses among all the courses were MPA in Dance (Kathak) and MA in Persian due to high and low scores, respectively.
