- There are also supernumerary paid seats available (not exceeding 15% of the total number of seats) for some courses (not available for Special Courses)
- About 15% of supernumerary seats are for Foreign nationals, out of which 5% of seats shall be filled up by children of NRIs and 5% by children of Indian workers in Gulf and South Asian Countries

Yes, the BHU CUET counselling process for both UG and PG courses is carried out in online mode. Candidates have to visit the BHU admission portal to register for the counselling process. BHU accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to several UG courses. Candidates seeking admission to BHU must apply online to register themselves. Follow the step-wise admission process as given below:
- The BHU application process is conducted in online mode through the official website of NTA (nta.ac.in). The fee for General category students is INR 750, INR 700 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and INR 650 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender.
- Candidates need to download the admit card by visiting the official website of CUET 2025 and clicking on 'Download CUET Admit Card'.
- After the declaration of the CUET result, students seeking admission to BHU UG courses are required to apply online for CUET-UG Counselling on the BHU UG admission portal.
- Further, candidates are required to participate in an online counselling process for provisional admission to the course (s). After that, the final seat allotment will be done by BHU.
Banaras Hindu University course admissions is entrance-based for most of the programmes. Thus, one-year dropper student can apply for the desired course, however, qualifying the respective entrance is the a must. Apart from this, aspirant should meet the course-specific minimum eligibility requirements as well.
Moreover, the student can be asked to submit an application regarding the reason for drop out. Sometimes even this is not required.

No, you can not take direct admission into the UG and PG courses offered by Faculty of Law, BHU. The college acceptes admission only on the basis of score and rank obtained in CUET UG and CUET PG respectively.
