Overall, the placement offers are satisfactory.
Placements: Around 60% of students got placement offers. The average salary package for the year 2022 was 8 LPA and the highest salary package was 39 LPA from the IT cell. The top companies are Cognizant, Tata, Samsung, Microsoft, L&T, Hindustan Unilever, JSW, etc. Internships were offered to most of the students of circuital branches.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is all around the campus. In some hostels, the Wi-Fi is not so good but every hostel room has got a LAN connection. Mess is good with standard charges. It may vary according to the months. The hostel fee is Rs.23000 for a semester and the mess fee is around Rs.4500.
Faculty: Faculty members of the chemical department are nice, very cooperative, and highly qualified. Teachers help students around the curriculum. Some of the teachers may have slight other expectations. CBCS system has made the course good. There are 5 modules in each subject and the test of each module is conducted at the end of the modules. The end semester has got the remaining weightage.

I am satisfied with the college, but according to me, the circuit branches are better.
Placements: Placements in BIT Mesra are good, and getting placed is easy if you are talented. Various companies, approximately 170 and above, visit our campus for placements. But in Birla Institute of Technology, the placements for circuit branches are far better than non-circuit branches, especially IT and CS. Overall, from my point of view, a talented student gets placed for sure irrespective of their branch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Birla Institute of Technology is better than other colleges. The college has an auditorium, library, and various labs for various departments. There are a total of 13 hostels, in which two are for girls. Our campus has various shops.
Faculty: Faculty members and the course curriculum are good. All the faculty except some are very good at teaching and very supportive if you are sincere. In this college, attendance is mandatory, and the minimum attendance criterion is 75%. The examination department is too strict, but it is not supportive of students.
Other: Various events are conducted in BIT Mesra such as BITostsav, Vajra, Pantheon, etc. Various clubs are present in the college for extracurricular activities.

I'm absolutely satisfied and proud because of reputation, good placements, and good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are the most integral part of an institution and give a good name to it. As per the statistics of this year, placements have been excellent with Microsoft hiring 20 students with a salary package of 39 LPA each. Not only Microsoft, but consultancy firms have also offered impressive packages with average package being 13 LPA. Seniors in my department are also placed in one of these consultancy firms. The core companies have also provided good placements although I don't have much idea about it. According to my knowledge, there is company tie-up of IT firms in the USA where maximum students are sent for internships. Our placement cell has proved its worth this year and was able to keep up their good name by bringing over 40 companies. Although, the main season of hiring is yet to come.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are way too good-looking, and it makes me feel as if I am at a PVR cinema hall with the teachers being the antagonist (just kidding teachers here are very supportive). The labs are up to the mark especially the production engineering lab and the ECE labs which consists of some rare instruments which have been shipped from Germany and are found only in our labs in India. The Wi-Fi connection is not up to the mark due to jammers present. Food in the canteen is a relief, especially at Hot and Cold BIT canteen PARATHA Ghar. Here, hostel rooms for the first year students are very small, especially if two people are to stay in it. Although, from the second year onwards the condition improves. There is a sports complex in our campus which also has a gym in it and although the gym is not very modern and up to the mark, it's being improved. The library here is vast with every book one needs to do well in academics in our institute available here. Although some sections are restricted and are only for the backward classes, overall it provides one enough books to study. Our library also has book facility which is very helpful. The infrastructure is vast, and every time I see it makes me feel proud that I am a part of such an institute. At first, I had problems searching for my classrooms, but now I am used to the routine.
Faculty: I personally don't like some faculty members especially the assistant professors who teach our classes. Although the head of the departments comprises one of the best scientists of India, I have a grave disgrace with the assistant professors. Some teachers are very helpful and help the students in every possible way to succeed not only in academics but also in life. Some are very supportive, but there are a few proportions of teachers who don't care at all for someone's future. In my class, the teacher to student ratio is 1:25 in the tutorial classes and 1:50 in the lecture. There has been a lot of industry exposure for students, and it has started already from the first year itself with workshops and other such ways. Here usually the teachers use presentations as a method to teach, but many prefer to use the age-old chalk and board method.
Other: There are predominantly 3 official fests held in our college, namely, Pantheon, Vajra and BITostav. Pantheon, being the tech fest is gaining steady popularity while Vajra is only its 3rd year and has become the largest sports fest of East India. But the most pompous and happening fest is the BITostav which is very popular and is a cultural fest. It has seen appearances by many famous celebrities like Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Arijit Singh and even stand-up comedians like Zakir Hussain, Sail Shah and many more to name. The campus gets fully engaged during these fests. The surroundings are very beautiful, and one can be close to nature and have fresh air to breathe in.

BIT Mesra - An experience.
Placements: BIT Mesra has amazing placements with few students bagging hefty packages. Top companies like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Direct, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries and many mote visit the campus for placements. BIT boasts of 80% + students bagging placement offers. Companies visiting the campus offer jobs in varied fields like IT industry, core engineering, consultanrancy and other managing roles.
Infrastructure: BIT Mesra has a campus size of 900+ acres with lush greenery. It offers a very peaceful place to spend your college life. The infrastructure is top class with state of art auditoriums, lecture halls, air conditioned classrooms and fully equipped laboratories amd workshops. BIT Mesra has 13 hostels which provide students a very comfortable stay.
Faculty: The entire faculty may not be world class, but quite a few professors are pioneers in their respective fields and have ages of experience behind them. The course curriculum is fully updated and equipped to keep abreast with the recent trends. All classrooms have projectors for video and powerpoint sessions.
Other: BIT Mesra has many clubs and student societies. You will find a club for almost every area of interest of a student. The college fests are top class with the annual socio-cultural fest BITOTSAV being east india's second the largest college fest attracting huge crowds.

The college is average because placements, faculty and infrastructure are good.
Placements: The placements are more or less the same in every other college in India. Mostly, consultancies like PwC, ZS, EXL services come to the campus to recruit. Although some good companies like Directi, Goldman Sachs do hire, the maximum recruitment is by consultancies. As far as my branch is concerned, the senior batch is placed in good companies with one student bagging an internship opportunity at Amazon worth 17 LPA. However, the lowest package is around 3-3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is excellent. The classrooms have been upgraded with modern techniques like projectors in every room, and it is not good for students as every room is CCTV enabled. The central library is huge with lots of books. I must say being from general category doesn't help much as you have lesser number of books to choose from (seriously, the book bank is for only SC/ST students. ). Also, the timings are weird as compared to other colleges where libraries are open for 24 hrs, here, it is open until 18:00 hours. Although the college has a dispensary for medical facilities, but personally, I wouldn't recommend to check yourself for some serious issues. Some common issues like common cold, stomach disorders are fine but other than that, it is really good to go out for checkup. I don't know about other department labs, but the labs of my department are awesome with almost all the instruments. However, there are some sanitary problems. BIT has its own sports centre which is pretty far from the main building with facilities for almost every sport, but again, it has some sanitary problems. Overall, the campus is really beautiful with a lot of greenery and the area near the main building is Wi-Fi enabled and the rest of the regions are not.
Faculty: The faculty members of the chemistry department are knowledgeable, and we like to interact with them as they share their knowledge most interactively. However, there are few exceptions. Interestingly, the course and curriculum are almost similar to the IITs, and with the input, we can more or less compete at the national level.
Other: The college conducts awesome events and fests. These fests recharge students. The college has lots of clubs (currently 22) which organise events according to the event calendar. BIT has its buses which run throughout Ranchi city, thus connectivity isn't that big of an issue. Also, I should mention that the administration of BIT is not at all helpful and will find one way or the other to get money from students.
