BITS Pilani BE Eligibility & Highlights 2025
BITS Pilani BE programme of four-year duration is offered to the students. It is offered across different specialisations. Some of these specialisations include Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. BITS Pilani BE admission is based on scores obtained by candidates in the BITSAT exam.
This four year course is divided into eight semesters, with two semesters per year. Candidates seeking admission to BE at BITS Pilani are required to furnish the below eligibility:

Don’t give up the opportunity to join this college if you get admission. It’s magical.
Placements: The placement at BITS is really great. BITS provides two internships based on your CGPA. Many students receive PPOs from their internships. Almost 92% of students get placed at the Pilani campus of BITS, even during the time of recession. The strong average and median packages show that the placement scenario is excellent.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are great compared to the price at which they are offered. We get everything needed to stay comfortably in the hostel. The mess food is also great, and the quality of the mess is top-notch. Renting a room or PG is generally not possible in Pilani due to its remote location. However, there are many other facilities available for higher degree and Ph.D. students. The other infrastructure is also really good, including the library and sports facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members overall are really good here. Since BITS is one of the best colleges in India, teachers are top-notch. You can make your own timetable with your favorite teachers, and there is no attendance policy. All of this makes the college really awesome. The course curriculum is great. The first year is the same for everyone, teaching us the basics of engineering that everyone should know. After that, the course is stream-specific and relevant to modern culture in our society.
Other: I got admission to many other private and government colleges. But I chose BITS Pilani because of its top placements, academics, and campus life. The fests and startup also attracted me. The flexibility and 0% attendance policy were important factors. The top faculty and other facilities available on campus.

Satisfied by its performance in placements, good campus life, and personality development!
Placements: According to recent statistics, the placement scenario is quite impressive. Most of the students in the passing-out batch got a pre-placement offer during their Practice School 2. About % of students have been placed. The top recruiting companies for the ongoing year were Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Visa, Adobe, and Cisco. The highest package was around 60 Lacs while the lowest package was around 8 Lacs. The median package was about 30 Lacs. Our college offers internships in the 2nd and 3rd years which are called Practice School 1 and 2 respectively. Every student gets exposure to work and opportunities to do projects through these internships. Top roles offered in CSE were SDE, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: Labs are pretty good and well-maintained. BITS Wi-Fi also works efficiently. Classrooms are spacious and air-conditioned. The library is a very nice place to study at during summers as hostel rooms essentially do not have air-conditioning. Food in the mess is vegetarian with non-veg available on Sundays.
Faculty: Professors at BITS are well qualified and knowledgeable, most of them known to be doing or have done research work in their field. Students can also consult with them or ask doubts at their chambers. The course curriculum is relevant and updated. These courses make students industry-ready. Semester exams are very competitive due to the relatively grading system.

Satisfied with faculty, Placements at par with IITs, top notch infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements here in Bits pilani are very good with 96% being placed last year with the highest package of 82 Lacs per annum (on campus) and average being 19 to 20 with least being 12 Lacs annum. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft come here for recruitments.
Infrastructure: The facilities we get here in Bits pilani are top notch as we have fully furnished classrooms with AC and a Three floored library. Coming to mess the food we get is of atmost quality and hygiene with a balanced diet. And hostels are well maintained with spacious rooms. And there are all type of sports, games available to play.
Faculty: Professors here are all qualified and helpful and most of them have done their Masters in reputed institutions like IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur etc. Semester exams are easy only when you work hard and attend all the classes and lectures as teachers are always there to help you.

Satisfied with this college zero attendance policy and good placements and good infrastructure.
Placements: About 96% were placed, and the remaining ones went for higher studies. When I joined in October 2022, the highest CTC offered was 90 LPA for AEEE student. It was not in the core but in the IT sector. The least is 6 LPA, and the average is 25 LPA for CSE and Electrical branches, whereas in Mech, Chemical, and Civil, it was around 16-18, that too in the recession period. Top recruiting companies are IBM, Google, Deloitte, McAfee, Apple, etc. Every student does two guaranteed internships named practice schools. There is a thing called summer intern where only 1 out of 5 students get it, mostly related to the IT and Finance sector.
Infrastructure: Good, and it is an old college built in 1964, and it is still going on. The food is also good. We have a gym, playground, student activity center, Wi-Fi for 10 days. Labs are open from 8 am to 12 am. The library here is one of the biggest libraries in India, open from 8 am to 10 pm. Classrooms are air-conditioned. Single rooms are given from the 3rd year. There is an institute canteen and other night canteens on the campus. There is a medical center and a sarvajanik hospital.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified, mostly from IITs and experienced. Teaching is good, and the curriculum is relevant. There is one mid-semester test and comprehensive test for every semester. Classes, tutorials, and labs are regular. We also have surprise tests here. There is no thing such as pass percentage, but relatively grading is allotted.

Bits Pilani is a great college.
Placements: You can become eligible for campus placements from the fourth year's first semester, but you can also get pre-placement offers in the third year's summer internship if the company likes you. About 97% of students were placed. The highest package was 60 LPA, the lowest was 12 LPA, and the average was 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course were Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, etc. Top roles offered were Software Engineer (SWE) and Software Development Engineer (SDE). Our college has three internship opportunities - PS1, PS2, and SI - and almost all students get internships in companies like Google, Tata Steel, etc.
Infrastructure: The room is well-equipped with a B.Ed drawer, table, chair, cupboard, whiteboards, etc. It has 24/7 electricity and water and well-lit rooms. The mess serves three meals, and the food in the mess is very good, with the menu provided to us on a monthly basis. Sports facilities are excellent as we have a lot of sports and activities, including snooker, gym, skating, squash, etc. Medical facilities are also great with BIRLA HOSPITAL and MEDC on campus. If you fall sick, they take you to the hospital in an ambulance and treat you free of charge.
Faculty: The course curriculum of Computer Science at BITS is highly regarded for its well-structured and comprehensive approach to learning. The faculty is well-qualified, supportive, and approachable, with teachers holding PhD degrees and research scholars available to assist and evaluate us in the course subjects. The course curriculum is very relevant to what is required in the industry as it is updated regularly. They also teach about artificial intelligence, etc. The evaluation process includes tests, midterms, and comprehensive exams, which were fairly tough. The grading at BITS is very tough compared to other colleges, like even IIT. The pass percentage is not public, as relatively grading is done.
Other: I chose this course due to my deep interest in computer programming since childhood and my aspirations to work as a software engineer in companies like Google, Microsoft, etc. BITS has three fests - Oasis, Bosm, Apogee. It has a lot of student-run clubs and departments like the astrology club, mountains adventuring club, gaming club, etc. You can join any club which suits your interests and bond with people with similar interests. The campus is close to the railway station which can be used to travel to Delhi / your home.

Really good facilities and campus life.
Placements: Most applicants are successful in obtaining the position. The minimum salary offered is 700,000 per year, while in the civil core it is 1,400,000 per year. At Bits Pilani, we have Practice School-2 in the fourth year, where every student secures an internship. The leading company for civil placements this year was LNT.
Infrastructure: The hostels at BITS Pilani are of excellent quality. They offer spacious accommodations, with double rooms provided in the first and second year, and separate rooms thereafter. Each wing of the hostel has its own washrooms, ensuring convenience for the residents. Additionally, there are two designated areas for outdoor sports such as volleyball and badminton, as well as two common rooms in each hostel where indoor games like chess and carrom can be enjoyed. Furthermore, the hostels are equipped with gym facilities. The mess food is of decent quality, and proper hygiene is maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members at Birla Institute of Technology possess extensive knowledge and expertise. They consistently provide support and assistance to students. Consequently, at Birla Institute of Technology Pilani, we undergo mid-semester exams, comprehensive exams, and tutorial tests every semester. Obtaining good grades in this institution is comparatively more challenging than in other colleges.
Other: I greatly appreciated the opportunities that came my way after joining BITS Pilani. The most remarkable aspect is the zero percent attendance policy at BITS. Speaking of the festivals, they are simply incredible! Additionally, there are numerous active clubs and departments. BITS also offers two scholarships: one based on merit and the other based on both merit and financial need.
