Step 1: Application Process
The admission process at Calcutta University starts with the application process. Applicants are to log into the official website and download their application forms for university admission. Later on, application forms duly filled have to be sent via post or submitted in person to the respective department in CU. However, candidates applying for this must consider that application and test examination entrance fees shall be paid online only. The candidates would attach the pay slip along with two copies of online bank challan with the application form.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
Admission to different UG, PG, and doctoral level programs at Calcutta University is done through distinct selection methodology for different courses. In case of all the undergraduate courses including the programs like BSc, BA, and BCom, CUJ offers admission in merit basis, depending on the scores obtained in the last qualifying exam. Similarly, for all the postgraduate courses, which include MA and MCom, the entry is provided on a merit basis. In case of all the professional courses such as BE/BTech and MBA/PGDM, entrance exams, namely WBJEE and CAT/MAT/XAT/JEMAT respectively are conducted for admission.

As per the cutoff, the Round 1 closing rank for MCA was 99 and Round 2 closing rank was 102 for the General category All India candidates.
