Honest talk about Chandigarh University.
Placements: Around 90 percent of the students get placed in good MNCs. The highest package is around 50 LPA, the average package would be around 4 LPA, and the minimum is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Amazon, Dell, etc. 90 percent of students get placed. Top roles are software engineer roles, web developer, sales.
Infrastructure: Chandigarh University is known for its world-class facilities, you name it and we have it. Each lab, library, and class is installed with AC, projector, computers, and Wi-Fi. I didn’t stay in the hostel in my college life, but as far as I heard from my friend, it’s good. You get good facilities there like good Wi-Fi, coolers, gym, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are really good there in Chandigarh. Don’t try to play with them else you'd screw your attendance. I always maintained good relations with them, which helped me to get free attendance and good internal marks. Teachers are good but students are bad, so you have to study on your own. Course is relevant, you learn core subjects from teachers like DSA, OOPS, etc. Semester exams are easy, I never studied for them but used to bag around 70–80 percent marks.
Other: I am always fascinated by computer science and technology, that’s why I took this course. This course helps you improve your problem-solving skills and build something meaningful that real people can use. CU is also known for its fests and extracurricular activities, you just have to manage your time to participate in them with your studies.

Some things are good here, it depends on what things you are comfortable with.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is good, like 30-40% on average. There are some companies that only take 1-2 students, and a few companies are on mass recruiting, but their packages are of a low amount. There are different roles offered by every company. You get to know about companies on a prior basis.
Infrastructure: Talking about the facilities and infrastructure in some buildings or blocks, it's very good. But talking personally about my block, it's not so well built. They do have AC, but they are always leaking. Wi-Fi don't work on several floors. The quality of food is like 3/10, it feels like we are eating something, but we don't know what.
Faculty: The teachers were qualified but not knowledgeable, according to their qualifications and the position they hold. Some teachers are too good, like they are very helpful in nature. Also, the course curriculum is relevant most of the time, but sometimes it does get irrelevant. Semester exams are tough because what you study will never come up in the exam.

Best infrastructure, but average hostel mess.
Placements: According to students, around 80-90 percent of eligible CSE/AI-ML students sit for placement drives. Students with stronger performance, more than a CGPA of 7.5, achieve nearly 100 percent placement. The highest package is around 50 LPA-54 LPA, the average package ranges between 5 LPA-9 LPA, and the lowest package is approximately 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Amazon, TCS, IBM, and Microsoft. Top roles are data architect, machine learning analyst, and information security analyst.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent with modern labs, smart classrooms, 24/7 Wi-Fi, and a digital library. Hostels are clean and secure with good facilities. Medical and sports amenities are good. The only drawback is the hostel mess food, which is hygienic but average in taste and variety.
Faculty: Faculty are highly qualified, supportive, and use practical teaching methods. The CSE (AI & ML) curriculum is updated, industry-oriented, and includes hands-on projects with IBM and Microsoft. Exams are moderate in difficulty, focusing on concepts. The pass percentage is high, around 90-95 percent, with proper guidance from teachers.
Other: I'm a B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) student at Chandigarh University. I chose this course for my interest in AI, ML, and Data Science. The curriculum is industry-oriented with IBM and Microsoft collaboration, and the faculty are helpful. Labs, events, and fests are great. Campus life is vibrant and diverse though placements in core AI/ML and mess food quality could improve. Overall the university offers strong academics and good exposure.

Chandigarh University is a top-ranked university in India.
Placements: The placement rate of Chandigarh University is 99%. The highest package is 3 crore. The average is 20 LPA. The lowest is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Microsoft, and Deloitte. 60 percent of students get internships. Top roles are SDE and Data Analytics.
Infrastructure: Chandigarh University provides a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The university has well-equipped labs. The classrooms are air-conditioned and well-structured. The university has a well-stocked library with numerous books. Hostels are also well-managed with a number of rooms. I am fully satisfied with facilities.
Faculty: Faculty is helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The university emphasizes strong communication skills in its teachers and provides faculty development opportunities to promote effective teaching methods. Chandigarh University provides the best of its faculty.

Just an overview everyone should know before coming.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is moderate. The highest package is about 1.5 crores. The average is around 3–6 LPA. The recruiting companies that usually come are PayPal, Adobe, Amazon, Flipkart, and more. So it depends on the students how they are catching these opportunities.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available are quite good, like reading rooms, a salon, and a stationery shop. There could be AC in the rooms as per my suggestion. The medical staff are not very cooperative, so this thing should be kept in mind as well.
Faculty: Not denying the fact that some faculty members are good. But most faculty is not worth it as they do not have good knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. There is favoritism in class no matter what. Talking about exams, they are of a moderate level. If you study for some time, you can get good marks.

The college life is okay.
Placements: There are two types of placement programs in our university. TPP and non-TPP. In TPP, you pay an additional Rs.10,000 to sit in the placement, and faculty focus on you to help you get placed. In non-TPP, faculty also help you, but you are not allowed to sit in placements initially because the focus is on outside placements. If you do not get placed through the entire round, faculty guide you on how to improve and where you are lacking. The highest placement is around 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are three types of hostel rooms, a four-seater non-AC, a five-seater AC, and a five-seater non-AC. The basic price difference between all hostels is Rs. 10,000, starting with Rs 100,000, then Rs. 120,000, and then Rs. 136,000. Faculty members do not check your room regularly, but if they find an open kettle, there is a chance they may take it and not return it. This did not happen to me as my warden is very friendly.
Faculty: In the college, there are many faculty members, but in the first year, there are eight faculty members according to the semester. Other faculty members help students with research papers and hackathons. The exam is divided into three parts: two MSTs and one final exam. Internal and external assessments depend on whether the paper is theory, practical, or hybrid. Exams are from hard to moderate level.
