IIT Bombay offers admission to MSc course based on IIT JAM score followed by CCMN Counselling. The seat allotment is carried out based on document verification, seat intake, and category of the students, during the counselling. Besides, candidates with a valid bachelor’s degree issued by a recognised university are eligible for admission to the PG course.

IIT Bombay MSc cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1, wherein, M.Sc.+ in Applied Geology is the most competitive specialsiation with a closing rank of 16 for the General AII India category students. The least competitive course is M.Sc.+ Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering with a cutoff rank of 643. Candidates wishing to get into BTech course of IIT Bombay have to qualify for JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced. The selected candidates based on JEE score are allotted seat through JoSAA Counselling. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for JEE Main. BTech course aspirants have to apply through JEE Main by filling out an application form through the National Testing Agency (NTA) official website (nta.ac.in). The application fee for boys is INR 1,000 and INR 800 for girls (general/gen-EWS/OBC (NCL) category). Followed by JEE Main, students have to register for JEE Advanced. For this, candidates have to first login with their JEE Main 2023 application number and password. Further, candidates have to fill out the registration form, upload scanned certificates, and pay the application fee. 

The primary pathway to get into IIT Bombay is qualifying entrance exam. Students who wish to join BTech which is also the flagship course of IITB, need to pass JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced.
