IIT Bombay BTech is available in over 10 specialisations. Some of the popular course specialisations are Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, etc. IIT Bombay BTech admission is done based on merit in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. IIT Bombay BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The aspirants of BTech at IITs have to appear for the JEE exam, followed by JEE Advanced and counselling. There is no other provision for admission. The steps involved in the IIT Bombay course admission for BTech courses are JEE registration, exam appearance, result/ cutoff declaration, seat allotment, and fee payment. The steps to be followed for the IIT Bombay BTech admissions are explained below:
STEP 1: IIT Bombay BTech Application Process 2025
To apply for BTech at IIT Bombay, students are required to apply via JEE Main, followed by the JEE Advanced application. The process of application for JEE Mains consists of three steps, i.e registration, form filling & document upload, followed by payment of application fees.
Step 1.1: Go to the JEE website (jeemain.nta.nic.in) and click on the ‘Registration for JEE (Main) 2025’ link.
Step 1.2: Fill out the form and click on the 'submit' button.
Step 1.3: Login to fill out the application form and upload scanned images and documents.
Step 1.4: Pay the application fees.

- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams

STEP 2: Selection Criteria
The selection process for BTech at IITs is based on merit in JEE Advanced. Only the students who pass the JEE Main exam can sit for the JEE Advanced. Further, the students who meet the IIT Bombay BTech cutoff can participate in JoSAA counselling for seat allocation.
