I love the college life they provide me with, amazing placements, and entertaining campus facilities
Placements: Around 78% of passed-out students who opted for placements were all placed at excellent companies with great packages. The highest package offered by our college is 1.5 crore, while the lowest stands at 20,000. Most students begin their internships starting in their second year.
Infrastructure: Each department has its academic building with specialized equipment and labs, all are embedded with campus Wi-Fi. In between all the scenic blocks. We have a medical clinic as well to aid the students with any clinical help needed. We also have canteens and cafeterias in walking distance from the academic blocks.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are qualified. They are very knowledgeable and available full-time for any queries as such. They give detailed lectures and make sure to make students understand it in depth. They provide us with the necessary materials for preparations as well.
Other: I chose biotechnology as it is one of the growing sectors with wider job opportunities and openings. It gives both hands-on knowledge and work experience.

Really wonderful college to join for fun and knowledge. Welcome Board to VIT.
Placements: Placements are really good. 11,001 offers from 849 companies were made last year. Biotech has a wonderful future, and good companies like Bharat Biotech and Biocon come for placements, give recruitment to students and give good internships also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good, with well-equipped labs and classrooms with a projector in each class. Hostels are also good, with a good mess and good quality ingredients. In hostels, there are 2, 3, 4, and 6 sharing rooms in the normal hostels, and 2, 3, 4, and 8 sharing rooms in the deluxe hostels, with a moderate feel.
Faculty: Faculty members are very kind and knowledgeable. Exams are of three types CAT-1, CAT-2, and FAT. CAT-1 and CAT-2 are for 50 marks each, and FAT is for 100 marks. CAT-2 is an open-book examination where you can take handwritten notes and textbooks for reference, and the questions will be twisted.

Nothing is free at VIT. Even for cultural events, we need to pay registration fees.
Placements: Since I am a fresher in this college, I am not aware of placements. But, my seniors have told me that if you have a cumulative grade point average of 8 or above, you can be placed. When it comes to biotechnology, we can't expect placements with just a UG degree. We can get good scholarships from universities abroad for a Master's through this college.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are well-equipped with projector boards and machinery. The library has a wide range of information and books needed for all courses. The hostel is quite expensive but worth the money. The mess depends on your hostel block and caterers, but you can manage. There are many alternatives, and even if you don't like a particular dish, you can eat others. For a meal, there are at least two options available. Sweets and cereals are provided for special meals daily during lunch and breakfast, respectively. For the normal mess, one day a week, sweets will be provided. The menu is mostly North Indian-based.
Faculty: Exam grading is totally relative, so there is no particular pass mark. If all your classmates do well in an exam, the passing mark will also increase. A semester has three exams, namely CAT 1, CAT 2, and FAT. Internals include CAT 1, CAT 2, quizzes, and digital assignments, while the external exam has FAT for 100 marks.
Other: The campus is about 400 acres, but it is still very crowded. It takes at least a month to get to know the names of all the academic blocks. Events, fests, hackathons, club chapter activities, and ideations are always conducted.

Strict rules, yet a very systematic college. It is definitely a place to learn and a chance to grow.
Placements: In VIT Vellore, most of the above-average to top-performing students are placed. In B.Tech Biotechnology, the highest package is 20 LPA, and the minimum is 4 LPA. Top recruiters include Biocon and other Bangalore-based biotech companies. Top roles include assistant manager in companies and intern. About 70-80% of students get placed in Biotechnology.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is well connected by Wi-Fi and is covered with lush green surroundings. Hostels are very neat and tidy, and the management works to keep them clean. Classrooms are quite spacious and airy. The library is well-lit and air-conditioned. There are also stores for snacks.
Faculty: Most of teachers in VIT are Ph.D. holders, and they are the most capable in their fields. Honestly, apart from academics, the faculty focuses on the holistic growth of an individual through hackathons, cultural events, and assigning management positions to students.
Other: The course is very relevant to the industry standards, and everything else in the college is on point. The only thing that can bother freshers is that the college is very strict regarding its rules, and you can get fined very easily if you're found breaking rules

Average college.
Placements: The placements are okay, but super dream offers are not that many. Most people get placed in service-based companies through mass hiring. If you prepare well, you will get around 10-12 LPA CTC; higher offers are also received, with the highest around 1.2cr and 50 LPA. Internship opportunities are good; many companies like PayPal, Wells Fargo, Visa, Intuit, Motorq, etc., come for placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good and available in hostels, the mess, and libraries, but not available in classes. Mess food is normal, not too bad and not too good, but the sports facilities are all paid, which means you have to spend even more on top of the fees you already pay.
Faculty: Teachers are average; many are not enthusiastic about teaching, and most teachers just read from PPTs. The course curriculum is updated and relevant to industry standards. Exams are average; very few people fail, around 5%. Memory is important to do well in these exams; they are not very innovation-based.
Other: I chose biotech because I wanted to pursue a Master's in a similar stream. Events are plentiful, with lots of clubs that have a good environment.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Placements are very good, and it is worth joining this college. Many opportunities are available for recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The hostel is better. I would rate it 4 stars for infrastructure.
Faculty: In this college, we follow FFCS, where students can choose their faculty members. The course curriculum is relevant. Three semester exams are conducted in this college.
Other: It is a highly suggested college for infrastructure, education, and placements.

The fame of VIT is mainly because of placement record, nothing else.
Placements: For Biotechnology, Placements are very low. Very few companies visit VIT and they recruit only 1 or 2. Eligibility will be +9 CGPA (for top companies). But non core companies come in huge numbers. Even Amazon also recruits. The highest pay for my batch was 1lakh per month as the research analyst. The most common salary will be 15k per month and its the same for internship offers also. Initially during the placement season CS companies come first and biotech people are not eligible to even attend their talks. After a month or two only Biotech companies starts coming. They are. GSK, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's and various small scale labs. But mostly Biotechnology students go for Masters degree either abroad or India.
Infrastructure: The best ever infrastructure. Course is well defines and is updated as per the recent updates. Will make sure students are up to date of all the happening inthe field. Hostel is also fine. There are 16 hostel blocks for boys and 6 for girls. Each block is known it's speciality. Each block has its own mess contractors and the mess good is great. But the menu is same for all mess. And problem with the food can be informed to the mess food director or hostel chief. There are routine meeting is held by the hostel authorities for the students to openly tell any issues in the hostel and mess. Any problem noted will be taken care of. Only thing is that the water in the campus is salty. Even though the university purifies it they are not able to completely remove due to the water quality in Vellore. In hostels the housekeeper team will clean the rooms and also the corridors, bathroom and the so maintain the hostels. The security system is of great level. All the securities are given walk-talky. They all interact 24/7. There are CCTV across the campus everywhere. So all the students are very safe. Even if they lost something, the student welfare collects it and returns it to the owners if relevant proofs are shown.
Faculty: Faculty members are of great experience. Curriculum is updated in semester manner. Any new changes are added and the central ministry also approves it. Exams are as tough in all Universities. The COE manages the smooth conduct of the final examination. The system by the CoE team is very the worst. It's not at all student friendly. They don't reply to student mails. They don't even consider the students as human. Sometimes only the parents mail are being considered. For seeing our answer paper we need to pay 100 rs awhile if there is some error even total mistake we need to pay 300rs. The mark evaluation by the CoE team is very much the worst. Not at all transparent.
Other: For CS and based specialisation courses, VIT is best. Mostly everyone gets placed in the top companies. If your the best you can get the best if you have the skills .

I am absolutely satisfied with good faculty members.
Placements: Placements provided for biotech are not good. Every student is placed but not in biotech companies. Dr.Reddy's is the best recruiting company. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package is from 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Around 2 students from the mechanical department got a salary package of 1 crore per annum. Internships are provided to students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Our college has great classrooms, labs, and other facilities that are awesome with good exposure. Wi-Fi is average. The food served is not so great but the infrastructure is decent. Facilities are good in our college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are average and few are good. Industrial visits are provided to students. Exam standard is decent but students need to study a bit to pass. Common papers are provided and cheating is not encouraged.
Other: Our college gives a good exposure and the campus is crowded.

The minimum rank is below 1k for cs in Vellore and 5k for IT. Below 4k for ece in Vellore. The ranking differs from department to department based on your choices in filling in counseling. And the rank may be higher in other branches like Amaravati, Chennai, and Bhopal.
