The network effect: The alumni are all over the world.

Placements: Placement session is good. Half students got placed and half of them pursuing higher studies. The highest package is 55 LPA and the lowest package is around 15 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, Zomato, and American Express. About one-fourth of students secured internships in companies like Texas Instruments and Jaguar Land Over. Top roles offered are analog/digital electronics engineer, embedded systems engineer, SDE executive, and business analyst.

Infrastructure: We have 24/7 Wi-Fi facility, State-of-the-art labs, classrooms, and library with centralized air-conditioning. The quality of mess food available is just edible. However, canteens are good. We have a dedicated hospital and state-of-the-art sports facilities.

Faculty: Almost all teachers have completed their highest level of education from foreign universities and are working on some research. Course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are decent. It is easy to pass the semester exams with two weeks of study but last-minute preparation is not recommended.

Other: I choose this course because of two reasons. I wanted to get into an old IIT because the network here is great. I love physics. The best thing about this course is that it covers electronics along with theoretical physics. It prepares you for industrial applications along with a strong background in physics. This course would have been better if there would have been more flexibility in making your course basket, that is, students could have chosen to study only electronics or only physics courses as per their interests. Fests conducted are Thomso, E-Summit, Cognizance, and Social.

IIT Roorkee - Place of Dreams .

Placements: The total strength of my branch is 54 and as you know Physics is an interesting and baffling subject you can prefer course. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and many startups to top companies will recruit students here. Based on your CG, you will get a better internship too.

Infrastructure: We have unlimited Wi-Fi in the classroom, library, and hostel rooms. Canteens will be open every day and all the time. We have many departments here based on the course and branch. We have medical facilities throughout the day and night. We have sports and games too.

Faculty: The teachers here are well knowledgeable and intelligent. The teaching quality is good. Yes, the courses are related to their passion if they are ready to continue with the same interest. The semester examination is medium hard; papers will be prepared by faculty themselves.

Other: You can apply for college scholarships based on your CG. As I am interested in Physics, I chose this course.

Great college in terms of placements, extra curriculars, and campus life.

Placements: In my course placements are quite good. Every year around 70-80% students get placed. The highest package offered last year was above 1 crore and the lowest was around 12 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, etc. Internships are also good here. 40-50% students get internships.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college great. There is one main building which is the centre of attraction of the campus. There are two LHC in the campus. Greenery is maintained everywhere in the campus. There are 10 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. Every room in each hostel has seperate LAN connection.

Faculty: Professors here are highly educated in their fields. Their teaching quality is also good. My course focuses deeply on Physics and thus it require a great interest in Physics. Semester exams in my course are quite difficult. It is quite difficult to maintain a good CGPA in Engineering Physics.

I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: Almost all students got placed with a salary package of 1.5 CPA. The average salary package offered is 18 LPA. Top recruiting companies are HiLabs, Google, etc. Almost 60% of students opted for the software field. Almost 40% of students opted for the research field. Around 75% of companies visit our college to recruit students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. Our college provides us with all facilities. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The hostel has Wi-Fi and LAN connections. Our college is good in all aspects. The food served in the hostel is good. They provide a variety of food items. The food menu gets updated every week.

Faculty: Professors are very helpful and good. They teach us very well. If we have doubts, then we can go to the office. The course curriculum is relevant. This course is based on research. Semester exams are not difficult if you attend classes regularly and listen to your professors. The pass percentage is around 99-100%. Students should attend classes regularly.

Other: If you want to go for research, then I would recommend joining this course. Our college is covered with beautiful places like Dehradun, Mussoorie, Lal Tibba, Haridwar, and many hill stations. This college is located in a good place. Students with excellent CGPA can go for research in a foreign exchange program where they can exchange their one semester with a semester in college in another country.

Review of IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: Almost 99% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 1.5 crore per annum. The lowest salary package offered was 9 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Alphagerreph Security, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Around 20% of students got internships in companies like Microsoft, Flipkart, and Axxela Advisory Services. Top roles offered are software development, management trainee analyst, software engineer, and data science associate.

Infrastructure: In our college, the hostel name is Rajendra Bhawan. The food served in the hostel is good. The canteen is also available. Medical facilities are good and it is free for every student. There are 24X7 ambulance facilities for students. Sports are also available. Our college provides a decent internet facility. Badminton court and cricket ground are also available in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Our course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult.

It is one of the best colleges in all aspects and the facilities are commendable.

Placements: IITians are smart and they do not always run for jobs, they have their visions. Many students opt for higher education. Some start their startups and some go for placements. Both core and tech companies allow students to sit, and students must score 8.0 CGPA to get placements. The average salary package offered is 1.5 crore in quant trading, and the minimum salary package offered is 75 LPA. The maximum salary package offered is 1 crore off-campus. The top tech companies and HFT companies visit our campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The course structure of our program is well developed and maintained by our professors. Students will always find it interesting to learn the things being taught in academics. Wi-Fi is available 24X7 on the whole campus with an average speed of 10-20 Mbps, and in some areas, it goes to 60-65 Mbps. LAN speed in each room is excellent, i.e 950-980 Mbps, and in one of my friend's rooms, it is sometimes 2.4 to 3 Gbps. IITR always support sports, students can find and play any kind of outdoor or indoor sport they love to play. The sports culture is excellent, and the hospital is available 24X7. The mess food is very good, but for freshers, it is not good as for other hostlers. The canteen has a variety of items, and it is available from 2:00 AM to 2: 00 PM and 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM respectively.

Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant to one's branch, apart from this, students also get to learn some important courses of other branches as well. Teachers are well qualified and they are experienced. Many of them have taken degrees from foreign universities like France, Britain, and Germany. The teaching quality is good but for some, it is like listening to Sanskrit from English. The semester exams are good, and some professors also add their extra strictness by varying the numerical values in the question for every specific student. But being IITians, the score is decent.

Other: I love computer science and physics both, but I could not get a good rank in JEE adv so I chose EPH. In this program, students get to learn about courses from almost all the branches and quality content in pure physics which is good. EPH branch is not present in all IITs, it is still new and students are getting increased in the branch year by year. In our seniors' time, they has only 27, then went to 35 and it is now 51. The events and fests are good. Everything is well decorated in this college, the variety of food is good, and impressive personalities are there. There is an exciting crowd that makes it more special. The natural beauty and cleanliness of the surroundings are good. Students can avail a variety of scholarships and schemes for their benefit.

It is a good college and it provides highest packages.

Placements: Placements are good. All the students were placed and the placement process was easy & pleasant. College was very supportive. A good bunch of companies came for recruitments and the average salary offered was somewhere around 20LPA. The highest package is around 2 crore per annum.

Infrastructure: It has all necessary facilities and everything is well maintained. Living spaces are clean & the food is also hygienic. It has air conditioned classrooms, centralised library, well developed sports center and spacious hostels. Good infrastructure with all major facilities, good Wi-Fi, very well furnished library, beautiful campus. The college has multi-activity center with a large auditorium and nice hostel rooms with sufficient water supply.

Faculty: The teachers are good. The quality of teaching is good and it provides a lot of exposure to the students, thus making them job ready. The curriculum is up to date and it has all facilities that remain up to date. Professors are nice as per behaviour and teaching perspective, Good syllabus coverage, timely exams, promotes multiple aspects of learning rather than just the syllabus. Well defined syllabus and good teaching methodology.

College life here is outstanding, and the placements are good.

Placements: 100% of students who participated got placed. The highest package offered is 1.5 Crores per annum, and the lowest package is 12 LPA. The highest package is offered by Microsoft. Maximum students got placed in the software engineering field. Few have gone abroad for further studies. Overall, the placements are good.

Infrastructure: All the sports are available, and college life is outstanding. Food is average, and sometimes, it is a little bit above average. College life is very good. Seniors are very good and very supportive. We can explore many fields like dancing, singing, standup comedy etc.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, but the workload is huge in the Physics branch. We can learn many things about Physics, so if you like Physics and are ready to study a lot, you can take this branch, but if you don't like Physics, you shouldn't take this branch.
