A glimpse of NIT Raipur college.

Placements: In the biotech department, core jobs are less common in India, and for core jobs, you have to pursue at least a Masters; thus, most students opt for M.Tech degrees, and hence placements are less, though 60% got placed last year in the teaching sector. The highest package offered was 21 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. About 70% of students get internship opportunities, out of which 20–25% get PPO.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good but there is a con: not everyone get hostel seat. In the first year, out of 1000, only 400 students get hostels on the basis of their JEE rank. From the second year on, hostel allotment is strictly based on CPI, i.e., about 20 top performers in class get hostels. Talking about facilities in hostel, that is ideal: hygienic food 4 times a day, well-equipped wi-fi, etc.

Faculty: Faculty members of the department are too good; they are among 2% of the world's top scientists. The course curriculum is top notch and the teachers are supportive. Talking about semester exams, it is quite difficult and hectic for students. There are two exams in a semester: midterm and endterm, with 30 and 50 marks, respectively.

NIT Raipur, really a good college in terms of placements and campus life.

Placements: Since biotechnology is a new branch and hence its placements increase year by year for example in 2021, placement percentage was about 50% whereas in 2022 it was about 70% and this year, I. e. 2023 placements are ongoing, the placement cell have not released official data yet. The highest package offered was 21lpa and the lowest package offered was 6lpa. Average package in this department is 10lpa and median package is 8.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good enough. We have like well-equipped labs for each department, including workshop department too. There is a beautiful garden in college known as central garden. Lets talk about hostel, this college lacks in providing hostel facility to each student, there are limited seats in hostel and the top 15 from each department gets hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful (except few), they are well qualified and knowledgeable, all are giants of their field. Yes course curriculum is relevant for the industry. There are two exams in each semester, one is mid semester exam and another is end semester exam, mid semester exams are easy but end semester exams are quite tough.

Other: I choose this course because this is growing sector in our country and I was clean towards its study. There are many clubs and society. Fests happening throughout the year but three major fests are samar, eclectic, and aavartan.

Good faculty members, good atmosphere, good placement.

Placements: Out of the qualified students, approximately 75% get placed in the branch. The lowest package is 7 LPA, the highest is 25 LPA, and the average is 8.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies in our college are Deloitte, Wipro, and Genpact. A few students (5-10) got internships from companies like Oracle, Reliance, and Wipro. Most students got opportunities in non-core companies.

Infrastructure: Faculty members are very helpful and available for every doubt. The infrastructure is quite modern, although our new campus is still under construction. Wi-Fi is available with good speed for every student on campus. The sports and games area is also very good.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All the professors here have Ph.D. degrees, and they possess immense knowledge about the topics and subjects they teach. The curriculum is very relevant, and the labs and workshops are also very helpful. The semester exams are moderate, and the passing percentage is about 35%.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in the combination of knowledge about organisms and engineering. This course provides a perfect blend of interesting subjects, experiments, and practical knowledge. I hope we will have one book covering all the topics in the course. Events and fests happen once or twice a month. We are blessed with a good sports atmosphere in our college, and we have every type of club, such as singing, dancing, instrumentation, poetry, literature, etc.

Our college has good placements and great infrastructure.

Placements: About 40% of students were placed in 2021. The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA, and the average is 8.5 LPA. Lots of companies, like Dr. Reddy's, Mankind, Hindustan Uniliver, and many IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Optum, Adobe, etc., come to our college. Most IT companies are recruiting for analyst roles, but very few companies are recruiting for SDE roles. They provide internships to get practical and industrial knowledge. Most students are doing internships at AIIMS Raipur.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi speed in the main building is good, but the boys' hostel does not provide Wi-Fi facilities. Hostel food is very tasty. Only 25% of students get hostels, and after the first year, hostels are allotted based on CPI or CGPA, so there is a competition to get hostels.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and very supportive, except for a few. NIT Raipur provides research opportunities in biotechnology. The difficulty level of semester exams is average, and almost all students pass them.

Absolutely Satisfied because of faculty members and good placements.

Placements: Around 79% of students were placed in different companies. The highest CTC offered was 21LPA ,the lowest was 3.8LPA and the average being 8.25LPA. Top recruiting companies are Pfizer, Regeneron and Amgen. Only 25% of students got chance to do internship and they have done it at AIIMS Raipur.

Infrastructure: Our Biotech Department is newly formed so there is no specific library for us but Classrooms are very good and lab is also having almost all modern technology machineries that are required to do research. Wi-fi is available. The quality of hostel food is absolutely fine (not better than Home's food). Mess and canteens also provide good food but cost is little bit high. There is a Dispensary within the college for medical emergency.

Faculty: All teachers are helpful and have done Ph.D. and Post Doctorate in their respective fields. Teaching Methodology is student friendly. Course curriculum is relevant. The difficulty level of exams is moderate to tougher and pass percentage is 35%.

Other: I chose the course because I had to do engineering in the same field. The best thing about the course is that after corona there is exponential growth in this industry so ultimately Engineers will also get some benefits of this Growth. Events are Organized timely by different clubs and comities of the college. The biggest cultural fest of any college in Central India is our college's fest Eklectica.

The final review of the 10+2 Framework carried out by all accepted Central/Pronunciation Boards, identical to the essential Board for teen education, New Delhi; committee for Indian Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. A recognised Board or institution shall carry out an intermediate or biennial pre-university assessment. Final inspection of the biennial Joint Help Wing of the State Defence Academy Senior Secondary School inspection conducted by the National Institute of Unsealed Schools with a minimum of 5 subjects. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognized each Community School, Board, or institution in the Republic of India or any external State as equivalent to the higher secondary Certificate Vocational Qualification. A Diploma recognised by AICTE or a Certificate issued by a Technical Education Board of less than 3 years in duration. General Certificate of Education (GCE) study in London, Cambridge, Sri Lanka with a view to obtaining an advanced degree. A secondary school certificate review at a Cambridge institution or an international Baccalaureate Diploma at a Transnational Baccalaureate Office in Geneva.
