Last Minute Preparation Tips for SEED 2024
Given below are tips that candidates can adhere to in the last few days or moments leading up to the SEED 2024 exam.
Follow the official syllabus and exam pattern - The written exam will be conducted in an online proctored mode. So, the candidate must be ready with internet connectivity, a webcam, and a laptop or PC. Note that there is no negative marking in SEED 2024. The SEED question paper will include MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based, and comprehension-based questions.
Revision should take center stage - If you have been maintaining a notebook of all the important points, it will be easier and faster to complete the revision. On the other hand, if you have no option but to go through the textbooks each time, it will become a tedious and time-consuming process.
The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) will conduct the SEED 2025 written exam on January 12, 2025. The exam will be administered in an online, remote-proctored mode. The detailed admission notification for the exam has been released at the SID admission portal.
SID will also conduct mock tests for candidates to understand the online examination process. The mocks will be conducted from January 9-10, 2025. Candidates who qualify in the written exam or SEED will next have to appear in a PRPI round.
Portfolio submission is the 2nd stage of the SEED 2025 admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload portfolio and PRPI task starting March 27, 2024.
The portfolio and PRPI upload link will be available on the SID website after the candidate has booked the Personal Interaction slots.
The slot booking process will be open from January 21 - 29, 2024.
Note that apart from uploading the PRPI Task and Portfolio, the candidate will also have to appear in a Personal Interaction round. The final merit list of SEED 2025 will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the cumulative performance of the candidate in Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.
Don’t start any new topic - In the last few minutes leading up to the exam, you must focus on already-studied topics. Don’t start any new topic at random, because it will eat up precious revision time.
Solve sample papers: With a few days left before the exam, you must solve as many SEED sample papers as possible. This will help you improve your problem-solving and time-management ability. Also, this exercise will help you fix minor errors and give you a lot of confidence going into the exam.
Take mock tests: SEED mock tests are meant to get an exam-like ambiance to practice in. The purpose of the mocks then is to understand the exam dynamics and how to navigate through them, be it handling pressure, deciding which questions to attempt first, etc.
Keep your composure during exam preparation: If you have high expectations, there is a great chance you will be under pressure to perform. In such cases, it is important to stop fretting over what may happen in the future. Instead, focus on the now, something that is under your control. Overthinking can also lead to stress and burnout, so don’t let your mind wander. If you feel like pressure is building inside you, leave your study desk, have some fun, listen to some claiming music, and do something to get detached from the pressure.
Eat healthy and sleep tight - One good way to release the pressure is to sleep tight and eat light and healthy food. If you have a good night’s sleep, it will simply reenergize you and you can again hit the ground running.
Make an exam-day checklist - On the day of the SEED 2024 exam, you will need to bring the admit card and a valid photo ID proof. Admit cards for SEED 2024 will be available to download from January 31 onwards. You must download the admit card and keep a photo ID proof ready for exam day. By keeping the essentials ready, you will not be in any panic on exam day and will reach the SEED exam center on time. Apart from this, read the instructions given on the admit card properly.
