UCEED 2018: Difficulty Level

Talking about how her exam went, Aarushi who gave the exam in Mohali shared, “My paper went good. It was moderate in terms of difficulty but I could solve all questions in time. In fact I got 10 minutes at the end of the exam to revise my paper.” Speaking about the section-wise difficulty of the exam, she added, “Among all sections in the exam, NAT was the most difficult. Also, in MCQ section, questions were little confusing. But MSQs were easy.”

Another student, Abhishek who gave the exam in Chandigarh, said, “I found UCEED 2018 paper little more difficult as compared to previous years' papers. Among all the sections, I found questions asked in NAT section to be the easiest. However, questions asked in MCQ section were of moderate difficult level. And, in MSQ section, some questions were extremely easy but some were really difficult.”

Holding contrary views to Abhishek, Kuldeep Malla, a resident of Vishakhapatnam said that UCEED 2018 was easier as compared to the last year paper. It was his second attempt of the exam and he shared, “This year, NAT questions were the easiest. Unlike last year's UCEED paper, questions asked in NAT section tested the observation skills of candidates.” He further added, “I found MCQs of moderate difficulty level but MSQs difficult. However, overall my paper went good.”

Atharva Patil from Mumbai revealed, “My exam was good. Most of the questions asked were easy. Out of all the sections, I found NAT to be the toughest as there were no options present. Also, in MSQ section, I found options for some questions very close so got confused with their answers. MCQs were the easiest.”

UCEED 2018: Exam Pattern

A majority of candidates shared that the exam pattern for UCEED 2018 was similar to last year. According to Abhishek, “UCEED 2018 exam pattern was similar to last years’ papers. There were three sections divided into 85 questions. It was mandatory to attempt all questions in the exam.” He further added, “Though exam pattern was similar, level of questions were difficult as compared to previous years.”

Kuldeep also held similar views when he said, “UCEED exam pattern was same as compared to last years’ paper. There were 85 questions in total. 20 questions were asked in NAT, 25 in MSQ, and 40 in MCQ section. The paper was of 300 marks in total.”

UCEED 2018: Computer Based Experience

All the students that Shiksha spoke with shared that their experience of giving a computer based test (CBT) was good and there were no technical glitches.

Aarushi from Mohali shared, “Experience of giving a CBT was pretty good. In fact, it was better than giving a hand-written paper as it saved a lot of time in marking answers.”

Abhishek also shared that his experience of giving an online exam was good. However, he revealed, “I left 13 questions in the exam intentionally as I was not sure of their answers.” Atharva also said that his experience of giving a computer based test was good and there were no technical glitches in the exam.
