UCEED Application Form 2026 - IIT Bombay will close the application form for UCEED extended with regular fees. The last date for UCEED Registration is November 05, 2025 with regular fees. Registration can also be done with late fees of INR 500 till November 10, 2025. IIT Bombay released the exam dates for UCEED Entrance Examination 2026 on the official website. UCEED 2026 official notification and brochure were released on October 01, 2025.

To fill out the UCEED 2026 Application form, candidates must register and fill in personal and academic information, select UCEED 2026 test centers, upload documents, and pay the application fee. The UCEED 2026 application fee is INR 4,000 for General and INR 2,000 for reserved and female candidates.
The UCEED 2026 entrance exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Commonly asked questions
Candidates from any academic stream are eligible to apply for UCEED exam. However, for admission to IIT Guwahati it is mandatory for candidates to have passed Class 12 from Science stream. The candidate needs to carefully go through the eligibiity criteria before they apply. It is because the candidate will not be considered for admission to the B. Des programme even if they get a rank in UCEED 2026 if they don't meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Also, any candidate who is found to be using incorrect information about their eliigibity stands to be disqualified if caught.
To be considered for seat allocation, foreign national candidates must meet all the eligibility requirements.

Steps to Fill UCEED Application Form 2026

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the B.Des program need to follow the steps given below to apply for UCEED admission 2026.

Step 1: Registration for UCEED 2026
- Click on the registration link.
- A registration form will open.
- Enter your email ID and click on the "Register" button. An activation link will be sent to your registered email address.
- On clicking on the link, you will be redirected to a page where you have to fill in some additional details like name, DOB, gender, mobile number, etc.
- Select and confirm a password for the new applicant's account.
- Once you submit all the details, the registration process will be complete.
Step 2: Fill in Personal Details
The candidate has to next fill in their personal details, including:
- Birth category
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status
- PwD status
- Email address
- Mobile number, etc.
Step 3: Fill in Educational Qualification
Next, candidates need to provide their education-related details such as:

Step 4: Select Test Centres
A maximum of three test cities can be selected in order of preference. Any requests for a change in the UCEED exam cities will not be entertained.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Scanned copies of the following documents have to be uploaded in the prescribed format:
- Recent color photograph
- Signature
- Qualifying examination certificate (if applicable)
- Gazette notification showing the change of name (If the name is not the same as in the Class 12 certificate)
- Provisional certificate (if applicable)
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Request letter to avail scribe or compensatory time (if applicable)
Step 5: Pay the UCEED Application Fee
Before paying the application fee, the candidate needs to confirm that the UCEED application form is complete in all respects. The application fee for UCEED 2026 will be paid online.

The UCEED 2026 application form is to be filled by candidates seeking admission to the B. Des programme. Also, UCEED 2026 scores is not considered for admission to the M.Des programme. So, the candidates must instead fill out the application form for CEED 2026. Note that both the CEED and UCEED exams are conducted by IIT Bombay.
The application form for UCEED 2026 is open from October 1-31, 2025 (regular fees). Note that the CEED 2026 application form is also open and has the same schedule.
There is no option to edit the UCEED application form once it is submitted. IIT Bombay has released the application schedule for UCEED 2025 exam; there is no application edit window.
So, it is recommended that when filling out the application form, you can the necessary precaution.
The UCEED 2025 application form opened on October 1, 2024. With regular fees, the application can be filled till October 31, 2024. However, with late fees, you can submit applications till the November 8, 2024.
The UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 19, 2025.
UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026
To appear in the UCEED 2026 exam, the candidate needs to meet the following UCEED eligibility criteria 2026:
- Criterion 1 – Age limit: The candidate should be born on or after October 1, 2001. If the candidate belongs to the SC, ST, or PwD category, then they need to be born on or after October 1, 1996. This may change with the release of the official notification and guidelines.
- Criterion 2 – Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of TWO times, and that too in consecutive years. The score of UCEED is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
- Criterion 3 – Qualifying examination: The candidate should have passed all subjects in the 10+2 exam in 2025, or should be appearing for the qualifying examination for the first time in 2026, to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from all streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.
