GATE 2025 CY, DA, and EC Question Paper Answer Key: IIT Roorkee has released the GATE 2025 EC, CY, and DA question papers and answer keys on Feb 27, 2025, on gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates can raise objections to the GATE 2025 EC master question paper and answer key till March 1, 2025

GATE 2025 Feb 15 shift 1 and 2 exam has ended. Memory-based questions for the GATE 2025 DA paper are now available. IIT Roorkee conducted the exam for CY, AE, DA, ES, and PI in the first shift and EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY in the second. IIT Roorkee has concluded the Day 3 shift 1 and 2 exam TODAY. The first shift was scheduled for CY, AE, DA, ES, and PI subjects. Many found the paper to be difficult compared to last year. On the other hand, the second shift exam was held EC, GE, XH, BM, and EY papers.

The answer to this question depends on the course you are applying at IISC.

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission,  JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. For other courses such as MTech, MSc and PhD, JEE Main is not required for admission at Indian Institute of Science (IISC).

IIT Madras BTech cutoff 2024 got released across multiple specialisations. Based on the last-round seat allotment, to get into IIT Madras, students must score between 159 and, 10682 for the General AII India category. In addition to that, for getting into BTech in CSE, you must have a rank upto 159. Also, B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most competitive BTech specialisations at IIT Madras. So, considering the last-round cutoff, if you are seeking admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras, you must secure a maximum rank upto 10682.

Q:   Can we join IIT Madras without JEE?

Yes, there are many other courses for which the selection criteria are different and the prescribed entrance exam is also other than JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. Below are some of the courses offered at IIT Madras along with their eligibility criteria and entrance exam:

  • MTech: IIT Madras offers a two-year full-time M.Tech programme across various specialisations. The institute inducts candidates for the M.Tech programmes based on valid GATE scores followed by the counselling process.
  • MBA: For admission to the full-time two year MBA programme at IIT Madras, candidates are required to appear for the CAT exam. Candidates based on their CAT scores will be shortlisted for the Group Discussion & Personal Interview (PI) round.
  • MSc: IIT Madras accepts admission to the MSc programme based on a valid score/ rank in the IIT-JAM exam.
Q:   Which entrance exam is accepted by IISc Bangalore?
A:

The university accepts various national-based entrance exam score as per course requisite. For BTech, IISC Bangalore accepts JEE Mains and JEE Advance score. Moreover, for MTech, the university accepts GATE, COAP scores. The table below will clear the selection criteria for few of the top courses:
