JEE Main 2020 Exam Analysis, Student Reaction & Review - The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main 2020 April/September session entrance examination for BTech courses on September 2 in two shifts. The forenoon session for JEE Main paper 1 (BTech) was conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while the afternoon shift will be conducted from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

JEE Main student reactions and question paper analysis for Paper 1 (BTech/BE) will be updated here. The leading coaching centres in the country will also release solution to the JEE Mains 2020 question paper. As of now, candidates can go through the students' reactions regarding the exam below:

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 Analysis: September 2

Overall the questions asked in the exam were of almost equivalent to that of January session:

  • The portion of numerical questions asked from the Chemistry section were of moderate level
  • The questions from Mathematics were not complex
  • The Physics sections as compared to other two was a bit difficult
  • The question paper for JEE Main Paper 1 questions were little lengthy because of the numerical questions
  • The questions in the Aptitude section were of Moderate level
  • The questions asked in the exam were not out of the syllabus and majority of the questions in the Chemistry subject were from NCERT

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 Students' Reaction - September 2

According to the students' feedback, who appeared in JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 first shift on September 2, explained that questions of all the subjects were within the syllabus and were from NCERT. Students who appeared in the January session explained that the JEE Main 2020 April/September session question paper was almost equivalent to that of January.

The overall difficulty level was moderate to that of January session and last year. Most of the questions asked in the exam were based on previous years' question papers and from Class 12th syllabus. Below is the JEE Main 2020 Student Reaction & Review for Paper 1 (BTech) held on September 2, 2020.

  • Rahul: Paper was not out of syllabus, and it was from NCERT. There was nuniformity in the exam. Questions were equally distributed among topics.
  • Animesh: According to him topics from Physics subject were difficult, whereas Chemistry questions were easy. Paper was lengthy he stated.
  • Navneet: Mathematics questions were easy as compared to Chemistry and Physics.
  • Vansh: The level of question asked in the exam were easy, the paper was not so tough according to him. The weightage of topics asked from Class 11 were more.
  • Hitesh: Mathematics was a bit tougher than other sections. Questions from Physics were moderate.
  • Yash: Paper was mediocre, it was not so tough.
  • Aryan: Paper can be considered as easy. Mathematics questions were was easy.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2020 exam from September 1 to 6 computer-based test in 660 centres across the country and abroad. Paper 2 is for admission to BArch and Paper 3 is for BPlan courses which were held on September 1. Paper 1 is for BE/BTech courses is being held from September 2 to 6.

Yes, participating in JoSAA counselling is mandatory to get a BTech seat in Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Students must first pass JEE Advanced exam. Then students must register on the official portal for counselling, for final seat allotment.

With 98.28 percentile in JEE first attempt, you can get admission branches, such as ECE, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in DTU, NSUT, IITD, and NIT Delhi. Top branches, such as CSE are difficult to get in these top universities and institutes. The cutoff also depends on the student's category.

Practically speaking there is no difference between these two degrees. Both connote degree in engineering.
