Candidates must carry the following documents to the examination centre. Without these documents, they will not be permitted to enter under any circumstances.

  • The KCET 2026 admit card (Printed copy only)
  • Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving Licence, or Passport)

KEA follows a zero‑tolerance policy toward electronic gadgets inside the exam hall. The following items are strictly banned inside the exam hall - 

  • Mobile phones, smart watches, digital watches
  • Calculators, Bluetooth devices, earphones
  • Bags, wallets, books, papers, notes
  • Any electronic or communication device

  • Follow instructions given by invigilators at all times

Each paper of KCET exam is conducted for 80 minutes. The Kannada language exam of KCET will be conducted for 60 minutes for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. KCET exam Biology and Mathematics exam will be conducted on same day while Physics & Chemistry exam will be conducted on separate day.

As of now there are no dates when to the KCET hall ticket will be released, however, based on past year dates we can expect that the KCET hall ticket might be relesaed 10-15 days before the exam. The KCET exam is on Apriil 23 & 24, so the hall ticket can be expected in the first week of April.

Q:   Are NCERT books sufficient for KCET preparation?
A: 

Yes, NCERT books are suffieicnet to prepare for KCET, however, students can also refer to supplementary books such as past year question papers, RD Sharma etc. However, NCERT books are primary foundation for KCET, as the exam is based on the PUC syllabus.
