Eligibility Criteria for POSCO Recruitment 2025 through GATE
Nationality – Candidates must be Indian nationals.
Age criteria – Aspirants applying for the post must be of 18 years of age or above.
Essential qualification – Candidates must have graduated from a recognized university/institute in India.
Yes, candidates having qualifying degree in B.Com can apply for GATE exam to get admission to the master's programmes in IITs and IISc. Candidates must go through the GATE information brochure carefully before applying. Also, students in 3rd year or final year in commerce are also eligible for GATE.
You can apply for two GATE papers (maximum). While filling out the GATE application form, you need to select the primary and secondary paper. The GATE secondary paper must be from the subject list prescribed by the GATE authorities. Before adding the paper, go through the subject combination list and GATE paper codes.
Candidates opting for two GATE papers will have to pay double the fees mentioned -
For example,
- If a general category candidate is applying for two GATE papers, then he/she has to pay a fee of INR 4000 (during the regular timeline) and INR 5000 (during the extended period).
- The same applies to the female, SC, ST, and PwD category candidates, INR 2000 (during the regular time period) and INR 3000 (during the extended period).
Language for appearing in GD/Interview—Candidates will have the option to appear in the Group Discussion (GD) and Interview rounds in English or Hindi.
Note: Only appearing in GATE 2025 or submitting the application to POSOCO does not guarantee the candidates for the further selection process. Candidates have to fulfil the eligibility criteria for the POSCO recruitment through GATE.
Once registered for POSOCO, all correspondences shall be made through their registered e-mail ID or candidate login only.
POSCO Recruitment through GATE 2025 – Application Form
- Registration for POSCO recruitment is done online only.
- The application window will open after the announcement of GATE result 2025 by the conducting authority.
- The candidates must have appeared and held a valid GATE score to apply for the recruitment process
- A separate notification regarding the application form of POSOCO recruitment will be after the declaration of GATE 2020 results.
- Candidates have to register themselves online with details of their GATE 2025 application number, registration number, GATE 2025 score and other required information which will be mentioned on POSCO career website.
- Application fee—SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempt from payment of application fees. Candidates must log into their accounts and deposit Rs. 500 application fee through online mode. The amount is non-refundable.
- Only on submitting application fees will your application process be treated as complete.
- Candidates must show their GATE 2025 Admit card and GATE 2025 scorecard for verification at the time of GD/Interview/Joining in POSOCO.
- Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form for POSCO recruitment to the officials.
POSCO 2025 Recruitment through GATE – Pay Scale
- Selected candidates will be appointed on a pay scale of Rs. 60000-180000 and other allowances and benefits, as applicable, during the one-year training period.

POSCO 2025 Recruitment – Service Bond Agreement
There will be a service agreement bond for successfully completing the prescribed training period and thereafter serving the organization for at least three years. The bond amount is Rs. 1,00,000 for General/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and Rs. 50,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
